Bingo. we broke down last year and took our boys (9 and 11) to Universal (1 day), Discovery Cove (1 day) and some water park (1 day). spent the other 4 days hanging out at the pool. this was my ...

I have to admit it...I just don't understand the compelling need so many people have to be on the rail at the rock show. There, I said it. Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?

excuse me if this post is too self-centered, but i just spent a fair amount of time cataloging all of the concerts I've been to this year, and which stood out. so here it is: i just did the rough math...i saw 66 different shows this year, as well as three festivals that had at least 30 acts at each....

i will say that "Poor Places" is a fucking killer song all around, lyrically and musically. YHF's pedestal is a bit too high in my opinion, but it's a very strong record. i think the drama around the release, and the DVD that was recorded around that time, helped its ascendancy to sainthood.

1 - you shouldn't (normally) have to work hard to enjoy or 'get' music. if you don't like it, move on. there's tons more out there. 2 - musicians should be proud/protective of their music. that's why they do it. 3 - uncle tupelo broke up ~15 years ago. it's natural that Wilco sounds nothing like the...
