American Aquarium, Jason Isbell, Turnpike Troubadours No Amanda but Jason was sounding great. Cover Me Up and Traveling Alone are going to be concert staples for many years to come....and for anyone that has never seen Turnpike, go catch them, great live band. Did anyone have a recorder going that night?

I dont remember seeing one, but then again it was dark when DBT came on and I didnt pay much attention to the soundboard as it sits a little farther back at this venue.

Re: KC, MO 5/25 Crossroads

Thanks, It was an awesome weekend. Well worth the drive. On top of a rock show I got some brisket and all the boulevard beer I could stand. I try to stay loyal to my local venues, but if it worked out to get back down to KC, I'd do it in a heart beat. Plus, the VIP tickets were the best thing ever ...

I've gotta say Kansas City, you've impressed me. It had been a year and a half since I'd last seen the Truckers, and it might have been worth the wait. First off, I'd like to tip my hat to the Old 97's - I'd never seen them live before, and I was really, really impressed. You can tell that four pie...

Re: Why doesn't DBT have a bigger indie rock following?

I definitely agree that BTCD, TBTD, and GGB all could use some editing (and that 2010/11 should have yielded one DBT album), there are tons of great songs on all of those releases. When I'm exposing someone to a new band, I tend to show them a mix of their music as opposed to giving them specific a...

You can actually order take out from Pi and bring it into the venue. Moonrise is a great hotel as well, awesome rooftop bar for after party. Last time DBT played in StL it was the night the Cards won the series. They were playing highlights on the bar tv until Coey told them to turn that shit off!
