Re: What a punk!!!!
what pisses me off a lot is that I bet it was a kid that just got into the band on the last record or two. he obviously never saw them slug it out in clubs that smell of piss and vomit when they were broke. It angers me a band that has given me so many good songs and memories and moments has somethi...

Re: DBT Concert Etiquette
What pisses me off the most is when people insist on singing. Just because you purchased a ticket does not give you the right to ruin the experience of someone else (who also paid for their ticket). Listen, we are not impressed that you know the words (although more often than not, you don't). It s...

Re: The "Ask the Experts" Thread
Help me out with Robert Pollard. I've listened to We all got out of the Army, and it didn't grab me. Listened to a little of the Circus Devils, thought it sounded a little to aggressive for my tastes. I'll prob try again. Looked at his catalog, and uhh, it is immense. Where do I start? What is his ...

Re: The "Ask the Experts" Thread
While far from being an expert, I can say I do enjoy The National immensely. Their sound is much, much different than the band for whom this message board is dedicated to, so I'm not surprised than many folks have a difficult time warming up to these guys. Why should someone reexamine these guys or...

I don't think I have ever thought about this shit as much you guys do. We drink for a few hours. We walk in for the opener most of the time and hang a few rows back in the middle and throw rock fists all night. I'm with you boh. I'm fine as long as i'm within the first 5 or so rows. Sometimes I mov...

Re: Son Volt
I bought The Search through iTunes when it first came out, and got all the "On Chant and Strum" bonus tracks at the time. Not sure if you can still get them that way. I had to resequence in iTunes to replicate the vinyl. Trace The Search (a very very close second). American Central Dust S...

Saw The Oranges Band and Doug Gillard Saturday. Great fun rock show.
I recommend both.
Oranges Band's last 2 albums "The World & Everything In It" & "Are Invisible" are pretty enjoyable and big favorites of mine from the Baltimore rock scene.
