Re: P Hood's Mt Rushmore

Thanks for posting the results Clams.

I can't say I'm shocked but folks in general obviously don't see the pure genius of Ronnie and Neil like a lot of the posters here do.

Re: Jimmy Johnson’s (Swampers) passing

Patterson wrote this piece about Jimmy Johnson in The Bitter Southerner. The article says it is part of a as of yet unpublished book he's writing! https://bittersoutherner.com/from-the-southern-perspective/ronnie-and-neil-and-jimmy-johnson-patterson-hood?fbclid=IwAR3-0qGVj3W4YD_W9iwSg4BBjgIrGqEuIFok...

Jesus - the same week as Donnie Fritts.

The linked article left out that he was the first engineer to ever record Lynyrd Skynyrd. The word legend doesn't seem to fully cover all he was involved in. RIP.

Re: New solo Springsteen record coming in June

This is something that fascinates me about music. I think Magic, Working On A Dream and High Hopes are completely without merit. Not one redeemable quality to any of them. I think the first and last songs and the title track of Western Stars are some of the best Springsteen songs in over a decade. S...

Re: Spotify playlists

There is a Spotify playlist I found that brings me back to my early records. look for K-TEL by PJ PLummer 98 songs featured on K-TEL albums. Not everything but quite a bit. I find the "gag" songs aren't on there like The Streak or Frogman Bradley. Found it https://open.spotify.com/search/playlists/...

Cooley was destined to be a cool kid but that 5th grade setlist cinches it.

Re: New solo Springsteen record coming in June

To say that Bruce has underwhelmed me for a while now would be an understatement. It had gotten so bad one of my buddies asked me if I even liked Bruce the artist anymore. I gave Western Stars a spin over the weekend and I have to say it's his best record since The Rising. It's as out of left field ...

The pay rate for streams is something like this.

For every 1,000 streams the band / artist gets 7 cents.
