Cat's Cradle - definitely maybe
Orange Peel night 1 - in

Re: Homecoming 2020! Feb 13-15

I think some of these are fair. Some aren’t, including the last one, which I just very clearly posted was not a problem. Perhaps not. But you've posted several times about certain fans in some sort of imagined inner circle in what seems like a disparagingly manner. So it seems, to an outsider on an...

Re: Homecoming 2020! Feb 13-15

I think it’s fine that people have special accommodations. There are certainly people here and elsewhere who have connections/relationships with the band, and there is nothing wrong with the band helping those people out should the need arise. I just don’t want people pretending that doesn’t exist ...

Re: Homecoming 2020! Feb 13-15

I don't think there is a perfect solution that will satisfy everyone. The fundamental issue is that demand will soon exceed supply and the supply is not changing anytime soon as Patterson has already definitively stated that homecoming will stay at the 40 Watt, which I totally get. But that means s...

Re: Homecoming 2020! Feb 13-15

Well shoot. So, pardon my ignorance, but roughly how many tickets are available each night vs. how many Homecomers are trying to get them? In other words, are the regular sales Friday as much of a debacle as the presale or should I just plan on saving my 90 bucks and buying more records? Last year ...

Re: Homecoming Announcement?

I was thinking about this last night when I couldn't sleep (sad, yes) and I wonder if they're going to tie the Homecoming announcement into the new album announcement. If it's still coming out in January, this is probably about then the pre-release publicity would start gearing up with pre-orders, ...

I wonder if Cooley could ever write enough songs for a real solo album. In the past he has struggled to write enough for a DBT record, even dipping into some much older songs during the recording of TBTD/GGB.

Of all the things they could use to make a meme about DBT fans and that's what they come up with? That's weak.

Re: Two new DBT records in 2020?

It has merit. I know I tend to get caught up in a new album and play it to death, want to see the band live, etc., but with too big of a gap, I move on to another album/band. I'm talking specifically about DBT fans. Are you no longer interested in seeing the band because they haven't had an album o...

Re: Two new DBT records in 2020?

The delay for this record seems interminable. I feel like I've been hearing some of the new songs for more than a year now at the Rock Shows. Too big a gap since the last one, seems like they've lost the good momentum from American Band. From the sounds of it, recent shows haven't exactly been full...

Re: Charlotte Sept 21.

The Charlotte show was what I call a standard outstanding DBT show. What I mean by that is there weren't any real surprises, no real rarities, and the set wasn't extra long. But (and this is important) it was a fantastic, monster show. The venue was packed, the crowd was hot, and the band was on fir...

I used to be a member of close to ten message boards 10-15 years ago. I am currently a member of two, 3DD and the Steve Hoffman Forums (music & audiophile stuff). I think message boards are dying and the vast majority of people moved their fandom/hobbies to social media over the past decade. I find ...

I'm not exactly a model parent so you probably shouldn't take my advice but I started taking my kids to DBT shows when they were 11 and 13. They're now 16 and 18 and have turned out just fine. If I were you I'd take your kid. Other than an F bomb or two...or five (which I suspect he's heard on the p...
