Re: Happy Birthday David Gilmour
Pink Floyd doesn't get a ton of love in these parts, but Gilmour is one of the best guitarists of all time In total agreement here. Absolutely nothing wrong with have some DBT and a little Floyd on the side as well. Love that band. Happy Birthday. (Still would like to see an acoustic show consistin...

Re: West Coast 2012 dates
A local radio station is advertising the Tahoe show...using "Easy on Yourself" as the song. Ruh roh...someone didn't do their homework. Purely aside from the Jason issue, isn't that possibly the least representative song they could have chosen? Well, they should have just put on "Lis...

Re: dbt track #92: demonic possession
uuuhhhhh, I've noticed they play a bunch of the others from time to time, namely Wife Beater, Buttholeville, 18 Wheels of Love, and very rarely - Sandwiches for the Road(awesome tune!). I remember a show we saw in Baltimore in '08 maybe? where the Avett Bros. opened and they busted out Wife Beater f...

Re: NHL
I agree. I'm glad they've kept him out. They can play with anyone if they make a late season healthy run or just keep pace. Last year was something else in the playoffs. Playoff hockey is the best. I'll be living with my Red Wings fan of a girlfriend this year so hopefully we stand the test together...

Re: Sierra Nevada Beer
My buddy is bringing me a 4 pack of Hoptimum for tonight's festivities. Glissade is no more in production, it was replaced by Ruthless Rye. Glissade is no longer in production?! Dammit! Well, then I'll just stick to the tried and true: Steelhead Extra Pale Ale (from Mad River Brewing Company). Anyo...

Re: Just Hood & Cooley
I don't recall reading anywhere that the Truckers were going to release a new album in 2012. Maybe I missed it. Yeah, I second that. I recall Patterson mentioning that they are going to WORK on a new album, but he said nothing about finishing it and releasing it this year. I sort of hope they don't...

I live for Blues hockey. Hitchcock has done an amazing job with these guys this year. Last nights game was a tough loss.
Yes he has. Hockey coaches are a different breed. Hated the guy when he was in Dallas. Now he's alright by me. Tough loss indeed.
If anything, Hitchcock hasn't bee...

Any DBT/NHL fans out there?
Just throwing this one out there. Me, being in southeastern, PA am a diehard Phillies fan, but hockey always comes first and I shit Flyers hockey. Big win vs. the Isles last night, but we lost JVR to a broken foot. D'oh! Now, I'm not up on the Three Dimes Down demographic, but if any of you are into...

Re: Just Hood & Cooley
I like Cooley doing country, but was disappointed that all 3 of his songs on GGB were country. Cooley needs to rock. I don't love all his country stuff, though. I pretty much hated country music (outside of Johnny Cash) before getting into DBT, and still don't listen to much classic stuff. All that...

Re: Just Hood & Cooley
I have to stay solid on my stance with that song (Lisa's B'day). It never really caught on with me. Sounds to much like Randy Travis. I love country Cooley almost as rockin' Cooley - but to an extent. I also agree with "The Weakest Man" being sort of weak as well. Eyes Like Glue on the oth...

In response to Kudzo Guillotine's post (11/29/11 - i know i know, but I just saw it) with the sample of Patterson's "Better Than the Truth" which is supposed to be on his next solo record: I cannot wait for this to come out! I really loved the last one (my review of that one is on Amazon.c...

Just Hood & Cooley
Just to segue from that thread "News from the HOOD (bassist revealed)" and one of the last posts concerning the possibility of Hood and Cooley being the sole songwriters of the next album: I, for one am very excited about that possibility (no offense to Shonna Tucker and her contributions ...

wow. Who knew a song could be so heavy with meaning and open to interpretation after a glance or two. That is some fine analysis, John A. Heavy and Hanging, as I like to say.

Little Bonnie, anyone?
I am a newbie, so please please excuse me if this has already been discussed. How come Little Bonnie is never busted out live? This tune is easily one of my favorites (sorry Space City) off of A Blessing and A Curse. Whenever I have it on (and it really doesn't rock) and turn up the volume several n...

That's a lot of pork. Where in PA are you? WHy, that would be southeastern, PA of course! Souderton to be exact. (The last time I had to miss work was because of a DBT show as a matter of fact - late March '08 after the T.L.A. show in Philly when my left foot got run over by some butthole who never ...

Re: Newbies--Introduce yourselves
Hey everyone. Before I go to bed, I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new to this forum but not new to this band. I slowly got into them 5 or 6 years ago after a friend brought SRO to my attention and it suddenly hit me how much I was into this band. I've seen them live a few times which is few...
