Re: Headed to Brussels and Amsterdam.
I thought I posted earlier about Ghent (Gent). Must have missed the button. If you have the time. Approx 45 min drive from Brussels. Small picturesque town with a lot of history. I was there some 10 years ago. Had guided gourmet tour (where you eat each course in different restaurants). Very nice.

Nice. I see his morning show is on pod casts. I also like listening to the weekly Sound Opinions pod cast (Greg Kot & Jim DeRogatis). Also Chicago I believe? Yep. I like them too. Occasionally they tread into "hipper than thou" territory but most of the time they are informative and e...

Re: The 2012 Thread for Political Shit
Well I'll try to clarify. What I am saying is, as far as people like Hamas, Hezbalah, Al-Quaeda, etc. are concerned, this is a holy war. It does not matter whether we think of it as one or not because they do. I believe the more "correct" (although disputed) term for those groups/organisa...

What all them^^^^^people said. I am hoping for an east coast run later this year, preferably within driving distance of NYC (direct flights from Oslo). Aren't there any direct flights to Orlando, say in about 3 weeks. The Swamp crew will be there. ......................and you can take the family t...

The Wedding Present tonight. I was aware they are still touring but haven't listened to any recent material. Sea Monsters is a great album. they are playing _Sea Monsters_ tonight, and stuff from their new LP (which, according to a friend, is really good). I saw them play _Bizarro_ a few years ago....

Sorry UTHeathen that's a bit of a pride killer. My feeling is that she's an idiot and he's an asshole and if you combine those two groups they are probably the majority in this country. Sad really and a pride killer for everyone. This doesn't sound too promising for the offspring this couple will s...

So many years since I've been in the city centers so I don't have any firm advice except:
Brussels - Local beers [Trappist, Leffe and many more], Moules-frites
Amsterdam - Coffee shops

Definetly can relate to everything this guy is preaching. Been through all the phases. I wouldn't say I am vinyl-geek per se, but my first couple of hundred albums were vinyl. CDs and mp3 can never compete with the feeling of holding a vinyl in your hands. That being said, after the "digital re...

One of my favorite Cooley songs. And DIY has been growing a lot on me latelyl. Agree with the part 1:22 - 2:22. I guess that's Cooley's guitar-part? Can't really relate to the theme of these two songs on a close personal level. Have been spared for that kind of stuff in my family and close friends. ...

Great read so far. Thanks. I guess I have my rudimentary Neil knowledge in place. Always nice to get filled in on stuff like this.
EDIT: Typo corrected. Obviously not enough rudimentary knowledge to spell Neil's name the right way

Boys Of Summer, Don Henley, Patterson, (don't laugh. I think they would do a fantastic version of this song.) That would be incredible. Not so far fetched. After all, DBT's been on tour with the guy who co-wrote that song if I've got it right. Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
