My son's preschool graduation is this weekend and as a result I've been thinking about "Days of Graduation" all week!

Re: Tallahassee, FL 5-1-16
I've only seen the future birds once after a football game; they played my alma mater and about 10 people (no exaggeration) came. I'd really like to see them again. I took a video of the concert that afternoon and I've probably watched it 100 times since then!

Re: Beale St Music Festival/Memphis in May this weekend
I only went Friday/Saturday but had a great time. While Beale St Music fest may not be my all time favorite I like the variety in acts/generes. I really liked Luther Dickenson last night. Lots of other musical goodness as well.... Paul Simon is playing tonight but I didn't get a Sunday night ticket.

"I guess I'll never grow a sideburn...it's a shame with all I've got to go between." I've always taken the sideburns as a frame for his big brain...meaning the speaker thinks he's really smart or has a large medulla oblongata (in the words of Adam sander in "Waterboy"). I think it's a particular cle...

This is stuck in my head this morning and I guarentee it is because of this weekend's performance in Birmingham. This is a song which must be experienced live!

Thanks for the pics, Smitty, and it was so good to finally meet you! This morning I went to a "Doughnuts for Dad's" program at my son's school. I wasn't sure work commitments would allow me to go at first, then I heard "cats in the cradle and silver spoon," in my head, then I heard "he's driving thr...

Re: Birmingham - Lyric Theatre - April 7-8-9, 2016
The concerts were great. I'm pretty verbose, but I don't know if I can describe them as eloquently as many of you have on 3DD. Outside of the concerts getting to meet some of the folks from this site with whom I've talked for years on-line was great, and hanging out and listening to a band at the Ni...

Re: List of Holy Sites for a Trucker fan
I'm hoping to see The Nick in a few weeks; it sounded familiar and Lagoonfield reminded me The Nick is discussed in the "Secret" documentary. I've been to the North Alabama area several times. In order to break up the drive from VA to the Memphis area at Christmas my wife would usually let me deviat...

Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?
Last night I saw a local band (local to Tipton County, Tennessee) in a bar that reminded me of The Boar's Nest. The band did all covers and was quite good, and the best part is that about every fourth song was a DBT cover. The band was called, Gilt Edge...named after a local community here. They do ...

Although I live 12 hours away, most of my Va crew is going. Look for a big dude named "Beef". If you holler "cool" and a fella' turns around that would be my buddy, Cool aka jr. I'm assuming one of my buddies is there because I was just sent a pic and a video. The video was DDN and sounded great but in the picture it appeared as if Patterson was wearing a black leather onesie...upon magnification I determined it was most likely black jeans and a black leather jacket. Elvis Presley- Cold Kentucky Rain
So if you asked me six months ago if I was an Elvis fan, I would have replied, "I appreciate what he did for music," or with a similar quip; however, for some reason, unbeknownst to me,I have recently become obsessed with this song. I believe I either heard it on Outlaw Country (Sirius) or perhaps a...

My father-in-law and I just bought tickets for all three nights. Warning...avalible seats are limited. I don't think I've ever seen a seated DBT show so I'm curious. See you in April.
We got the balcony two nights I believe because seats were so limited.
