I couldn't believe Cooley Girl turned around and punched the guy in the face (more or less). It was so awesome. UR got involved, too. It literally was a 1-2 punch. Loved it! Hard not to be happy watching the band be happy. Kudos to Smarty Jones and her DBT quilt. Loved the new songs, too! Oh and- CL...

Ill be meeting up w UR and Cooley Girl. Think we're waiting on a consensus as well or we'll probably see you at the door. My friend recommended West Sixth Brewery because it's new - we don't care one way or the other. I'm way overdue for a truckers show.

I don't know--he doesn't do multiple night residencies so you never know! (I think his only ones are Fillmore, somewhere in Australia and the Ryman).

The folk community and music world at large has lost a great songwriter and performer in Dave Lamb, one half of Brown Bird, and one huge chunk of the Providence and New England music scene. I'd only seen Brown Bird twice, opening up for Devil Makes Three at the Portland Theater and on the main stage...

Videos are still a good way to turn someone on to your favorite bands - you can email the link, post it on your FB, etc. Those videos a few years ago for This Fucking Job, they were cool as shit - low budget, down and dirty, cool characters, great story and great ending, etc. Those videos screamed ...
