Re: The TV thread
Don't get me wrong, I love this Making a Murderer talk. We have 3DD's best and brightest on the case, and I've been hanging on to all and everyone of your words. I'm totally serious, I've been logging on to 3DD to see what BTB, Brett and Oilpielers has to say. But, in case your looking for a break, ...

Re: 2016 Nuci's/Homecoming fundraiser and DVD/Blu-ray offer
First I want to thank John in getting this out so fast. I ordered right before Christmas and the video came last Saturday after New Years when I needed it most. Also, I'd like to mention that Lydia Loveless listed this show as her favorite show she played in for 2015 in the Bloodshot Records Artists...

It's funny, they talk about this on the crappy National News, ABC, CBS and NBC. But, on ESPN all day, all the talk is about Belecheck and his decision to kick-off in the overtime. Even Deadspin and Bleacher Report aren't interested in Manning.Zip City wrote:eh, it's a non story

Re: R.I.P. Lemmy Kilmister
Growing-up, I never listened to Moterhead and never knew who Lemmy was. It wasn't until the late 90's living in England, watching "Never Mind Mind the Buzzcocks", that I became aware of Lemmy. He was on this show a few times and had a way of making everyone else on the set uncomfortable. Now I'm ful...

Titus Andronicus - The Most Lamentable Tragedy - my number one, personally I think he's the new Bruce Springsteen, and not just because he's from New Jersey. The rest in no particular order Kurt Vile - b'lieve I'm Going Down - Probably second fav, and not just because he's from Philly Sufjan Stevens...

We've had a few rounds of discussions on the Wire on this thread over the past 5 years and I am one of the many, self proclaimed, Wire nerds who has chimed in. Anyway, the link below is to an article David Simon (Wire Producer) wrote for the Baltimore Sun many years ago on Little Melvin Williams the...

Costa is the perfect embodiment of Chelsea's fall from grace. Last year.... nearly unstoppable. This year....complete shit Costa is bad, but the defense is shit as well, they've given up some pretty crap goals. They still manage to control the ball up front, but it's all side to side, with no creat...

Re: Albums of the year 2015
Carrie and Lowell easily makes my top 10 list. But, I also kind of agree with your review below. The theme is pretty limiting which keeps it "one note". However, the songs were deeply personal which, in my opinion, were captured in the music. I was moved and captivated for most of April by this albu...

It looks like Chelsea are the pits, not the Cherries. Hornets still rolling. Bournemouth? Are you fucking kidding me? A loss at home to Bournemouth? I said the same thing back in Aug when they lost to Crystal Palace at home. I guess they weren't kidding then and have been a disaster since. Actually...

Re: The TV thread
Fargo season 2 is the best TV I have seen in a long time. The biggest bummer is I have not DVR'd it and have to watch the commercials on demand. This is made for a Netflix type binge. Good point, the On Demand has been brutal as it has become with all their shows as they won't let you fast forward....

Of course there's this one by Paper Lace (Night Chicago Died, Billy Don't be a Hero), though I sang this song at my Episcopal Camp, so not too original.Gang Green wrote:Villa still has one of the best footie anthems, I would concede, better than Blue is the Colour.
