Nice! Visited the area a couple of years ago but never got around to check out that brewery, although it was on the list. And happy birthday!bovine knievel wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 12:10 amhttps://www.russianriverbrewing.com/int ... inot-noir/

Re: Coronavirus - COVID-19
One of Norways "leading" conspiracists, corona skepticists and self proclaimed "independent scientist" (I had never hear of the guy) died Tuesday "with" Corona at age 61. Appears to have been quite active on social media and was apparently responsible for hosting a couple of "Corona parties" to prov...

This is a seemingly fair, balanced and knowledgeable "general interest" (i.e. not overly technical but evidence based) take on the Swedish "experiment" and experience with COVID. https://www.newyorker.com/news/dispatch/swedens-pandemic-experiment?utm_source=nl&utm_brand=tny&utm_mailing=TNY_Daily_04...

Re: BBQ (and grilling) Thread
Have been into SV for a while, but came back to grilling, roasting, pan-searing etc eventually. I find in most cases I am able to get close to SV result in terms of even "doneness" through the meat using "reverse sear" method on roasts and larger cuts of meat and with a good thermometer (thermapen) ...

Re: BBQ (and grilling) Thread
We got a pellet grill last summer and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. It kicks ass for either smoking or grilling and it's mostly idiot proof. Which make? Pellet grills have become really popular over here and people buy them to replace their gas- and/or coal-grills for those very re...

Re: BBQ (and grilling) Thread
I’ll join the choir. I’ve had my WSM 22” since 2015. One suggestion is that I would upgrade the charcoal door immediately to stainless steel. Made it much easier to control the temp on the low end. I like to smoke at about 225° and I find it invaluable. I have considered ordering one of those. The ...

Re: BBQ (and grilling) Thread
I'm thinking I need this Weber 22" SM smoker. $439 seems to be the going price. Am I right about that, or just not looking in the right place? The Weber Smoker is worth every penny and that sounds about right. Been having mine for a year now. Super happy. Result always turns out great. Been doing w...

Re: Where will first DBT show be when things open again?
Barring some kind of miraculous speed up of vaccination in Europe, those first shows back definitely won't be over here. Full capacity shows here aren't allowed until 21 June (at the earliest), though socially distanced gigs can happen before. I'd certainly hope all of the DBT shows have sold too w...

Pitchfork has Mercury Rev Yerself Is Steam on their list of top 50 Shoegaze albums. Never thought of them as Shoegaze before. I have to admit I am familiar with very few of the albums on that list.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
Indeed. Been on a spacey/gazey kick lately. Saw them play live once and I think it must have been around when this album came out. Played it a lot back then but haven't listened to it in years. Gonna break it out again this weekend and give it a spin or two. There was another great shoe gaze (sort ...

This is by far my favorite DBT album from that "era", probably of them all, and possibly also one of my favorite albums of all time.

RIP Chick Corea, Fusion & jazz legend.  Chick Corea's ever evolving music was a large part of my musical education and I will miss him greatly (in a distanced, fan kind of way). looks like Nicke is playing the same (albeit lefty) guitar as Deniz Tek? https://www.tinnitus-photography.com/img/s/v-10/p497934092-5.jpg They look very similar.
