Re: Never Had Such A Good Time/The Grateful Dead Thread
Apparently a bomb scare at the Hollywood Bowl last night. Second set, second song, "He's Gone" the band was rushed off the stage by authorities. Police dogs were brought on stage. After about a 10 minute delay the band returned, and Bobby gave a cryptic "All clear, kind of." message to the crowd. Th...

Re: RIP Chris Cornell
It’s not what you think Chris Cornell committed suicide on May 18, 2017, at the age of 52. He was a dad. He was a philanthropist. He was becoming an elder statesman of rock. He was a grown up. Cornell was aging gracefully, even doing that thing where some guys get better looking as they get older. ...

Isbell tweeted this: One thing I've learned this week: a lot of y'all don't know which songs were Gregg's and which were Dickey's. Study up, America! and then someone else tweeted: ..says the writer of such classics as Let There Be Rock and Zip City.   Nice. Well played.

Here's a often overlooked Allman vocal. This is from Ronnie Earl's album "Colour Of Love". It's one of my favorites.

I just saw Gregg last May. I still can't get over how good he looked, and how strong he sounded. I was fortunate to get a pick from Gregg and his setlist that night. This one stings for sure. https://scontent-dft4-3.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/13254843_1191058817573733_8644277301703073695_o.jpg?oh=486961...

Re: Rogers Water tour rehearsal setlist/torrent
The show was limited to friends/family and some contest winners apparently. I'm seeing the performance in Houston with one of my oldest friends. We haven't seen each other in over 5 years, but always stay in touch. We actually met over 20 years ago while discussing our appreciation of Pink Floyd, so...

Re: RIP Chris Cornell
Got the news super early this morning via facebook. I initially hoped it was a hoax. Pretty crushing. Myself, and some of my oldest friends were all working/managing record stores in the late 80's. I was a huge Andrew Wood/MLB fan from their first recordings. Soundgarden, Green River/Mudhoney and pr...

Awesome! I still have a few of these. I usually take a couple with me to shows and trade 'em to musicians for their picks. Isbell loved 'em, gave me a couple of his, and told we it was a "swell swap". https://scontent-dft4-3.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-0/p480x480/18489502_1537792712900340_43982290514039487...

This was the best setlist I've ever seen him put out there, but not the best show I've seen. I kind of chalk it up to it being the first gig of the tour. It was missing some o...

Re: DBT Merchandise Ideas
I'm not a fan of the thin shirts at homecoming this year. I like the 100% cotton much better! I'm 100% with you. I much prefer a 100% cotton shirt. I bought the Dance Band of the Resistance shirt (love the design) but I haven't worn it yet. Those 80% polyester shirts just aren't made for most guys ...

And ditch the cheezy "Dance Band Of The Resistance" moniker. I've loved the art work on the posters this tour, but it just seems so silly.

Lightnin' Hopkins Documentary
Probably the best thing I've watched on youtube in a long time.
I grew up in Houston, and my grandfather used to take me to the black rodeos seen in this clip. Lots of great memories, fun footage and great music all wrapped into about a 30 minute clip.
