Re: Summer plans, what's cookin'?

My little girl turns 1 towards the end of July. Have a lot of family in town for that. Also doing a week in Avon NC with some friends, nice house on the beach. Scotto, we were in Spain for a week in 2008. Spent most of our time in Granada, but I am super jealous of your trip. We loved it. And the po...

Perhaps a question for another day, and asked solely out of intellectual curiosity - not trying to be a monday morning qb or general asshole (least not anymore than usual). Why don't folks in tornado zones have cellars? I know that in some areas like LA and FL the ground won't support them but i as...

Re: DBT and mowing don't mix

Man, I forgot how much fun it was to ride the riding mower and Cooley cranking out Marry Me. Almost took out my wife's shrubs in the back tonight. One afternoon I smoked a big ole joint and put on TDS and I am cruising on an ole red snapper. I was so stoned and into the album that I looked down dur...

I dig the album too and I was glad to see his live performance to be more up-tempo however the vocals while having an awesome melody were completely distorted and i could hardly make out a word of what he was singing. I had heard that going into the Greenville Show. Had a buddy, and take it he didn...

That sounds like a great opportunity. My good friend took a position in Dublin three years ago and is having the time of his life. Hope everything turns out well. Cool man, is he still over there? Be nice to be able to bounce some questions off someone who as already made the move. Already talked t...

Button Factory, May 7th, Dublin

Who is in. Just got the wonderful news that my trip will be 3rd-8th so the last night I get to check out the boys and lovely girl in Ireland. Man I am stoked. Be busy during the week but a great way to end my trip. I am actually interviewing for a job in Dublin, a 5-7 year stint, so that would be a ...

I cant get New West checkout to work, anyone else have problems with it? The only other place I have found it is Musicstack. I would like to buy it from New West if I could get the dman thing to work for me! Any luck? Try your local indie shop and see if they can order it for you. One I frequent ac...

Re: Recent absence of Fourth Night from the Rock Shows...

Drag The Lake and Fourth Night were two songs that really grew on me over the course of 2010. Same with After The Scene Dies. At the risk of turning this into a TBTD thread, After The Scene Dies is a song I've loved from Day 1. First time I heard that one was at the TDU shows in Athens and I listen...

Re: Your Holy Trilogy

From what I can gather after reading extensively about this band for the last seven or 8 years, the common consensus seems to be that DBTs holy trilogy of albums is SRO,DD and TDS, but what would be your own? Let me come clean before listing mine. I don't really rate SRO, it's possibly a bit too &q...

I will second the recommendation of Bohemian Cafe. Not fast, but good food and vibe. Full bar. Maybe THIS will be when they finally bring Greenville>Baton Rouge back out. Re: 3DD NCAA March Madness Bracket

My bracket is now totally fucked, so I'll be rooting for underdogs the rest of the way I think I'm rooting for Kentucky at this point. Another Final with Butler in it will just make the whole Tournament a farce and a celebration of mediocrity. They sure aren't play like a mediocre team. If you run ...

I'm the only one that chose KEntucky to win it all. That's my only fighting chance to win the pool. Holy Butler and Arizona. Yeah, looks like Kansas and Kentucky are the only 2 teams still in it that were picked in the pool. Kentucky is going to have a tough time with UNC, they are playing really g...

Yeah I am still sitting pretty good in second, but still have 3 of the final four alive and both my final 2 teams. But Pitt and ND screwed me. But still have a possible 152 points on the board, so definitely still in it. Rooting for those jayhawks. I will say that if my bracket breaks down in the ne...

Yeah, i have a ton of Gordon's shows and they all sound great. That 11/18/04 shows is one of my all time favorites, as is the Feb 2006 show from the peel where they did 2 encores. Cant go wrong with an Orange Peel show.

Went 26-6 also so far. Georgetown and Lousiville both screwed me, had both going to the sweet 16, but my other 14 teams are still alive, as are my elite eight and final four teams.
