Re: The Nashville Sound - June 16th

I downloaded and gave the 7-22-17 show from St Augustine a spin. Maybe not the first time he has done it, but a full band show with zero DBT era songs... Heck, the only thing he played that wasn't on the 3 most recent releases was Codeine. (Not including Whipping Post_. Doesn't bode too well for the...

BOOM Tabernacle 11/26/05. T'was there. Another thing I remember about that show was Jason played Outfit on a keyboard. And it was the first time I ever heard Runaway Train as they (Hood/Cooley) were celebrating a milestone of sorts, 20 years I think. Maybe someone can refresh my memory... Didn't Ja...

Re: The Nashville Sound - June 16th

Got my copy from Amazon yesterday. Side note -> CD was only $8.99... Seems criminally low... Seems like it was just 30 years ago I was paying $16-18 :? Only made it through "Anxiety" so far (track 6?). Didn't hear the leak, just heard of the tracks that Jason shared online. Dig what I've heard so fa...

Re: Record Store Day Release

This is a great record. Highlights for me are Umpqua, Ramon and of course One of These Days. The one track I'm not digging is the groovin version of This Fucking Job. Reminds me of when Clapton killed Layla with that awful easy listening version. It's grown on me. I HATED it the first few times I h...

Re: Record Store Day Release

I don't know how they're categorizing things (i.e. I can't think of any reason the Truckers release would be classified as a "twelve-inch" while the Isbell release was classified as an LP--they're both 12" EPs in my mind), but Twist & Shout has them each at #2 in their respective categories in thei...

Going to go ahead and say it now...
This is the definitive version of "One Of These Days".
Honestly, too much feedback / wah-wah / echo, or whatever you want to call it, on the original to my taste.

Re: Washington D.C. 930 Club 4/21 & 22

I'm not one to engage in hyperbole. If we're talking about a show that makes a top 5 list or is considered epic, well last night seriously needs to be in the discussion. Sometimes the final show of a tour can be a bit subdued. Sold out 9:30 Club on a Saturday night--fuck that shit. Both Patterson a...

Really ripped the fucking roof off last night.
Setlist alone doesn't do this performance justice.

Re: Washington D.C. 930 Club 4/21 & 22

Great show as always last night. On at 10:30, off at 12:55, no breaks. I don't think I've been to a show where Patterson and Cooley spoke so little... Hardly a word from either of them. I also don't recall seeing any tequila in play last night. Must be saving it up for tonight. Loved hearing "One of...

Re: Soundboard/Matrix Recordings available on Archive.org

Has anyone ever gone through and cataloged the soundboard/matrix recordings available on Archive.org? I’ve started randomly going through and downloading the flac files (these are lossless files unlike MP3) for each that I find. Some of the soundboards aren’t as “exciting” as some of the best audie...

Re: Red Butte Gardens – August 4th, 2017

Seven years. Seven fucking years since the Truckers have been to Salt Lake City. In that time span I have traveled probably 20,000 miles to see the Rock Show. I have personally begged Patterson to bring the band back to Salt Lake at least three times. They finally booked a show at one of the most b...

you can use "nashville" on the spotify presale. go get'em! Yep Nashville is it. Get 2 for the Philly show. He's moved up to the new Fillmore which is a really nice 3500 capacity venue. Next stop the Wells Fargo Center? Moved up to headlining Merriweather in Columbia MD too, somewhere in the 19K cap...
