Re: English Oceans Discussion Thread
Having listened several times in its entirety, I think it is time for me to weigh in. I waited until official release, but did hear most of the songs on radio, live, or video. I am sure my opinions will change some in the next few months. Top tier: Primer Coat - love it; great bass line; do I hear R...

Re: DBT: Underrated
As I remember it, people who heard "Daddy Learned to Fly" live before the album came out loved it and that helped create some really good positive buzz for the album. But when the album was released, the song didn't seem to thrill the fandom. I didn't get that then and I don't now. A top ...

Pauline Hawkins would be my bet. Have heard it quite a bit on Outlaw Country and have also heard it on 99.1 in Peoria. If not, I would go with Made Up English Oceans

Would like to put my two cents in on this one. I listened to this frequently when it came out, but it is not one I have picked up a lot recently. I do however love the songs they play in concert, especially World of Hurt. Love - Feb. 14 (one of their best openers) Gravity's Gone (my favorite on the ...

what happened
Patterson told of losing two friends this week, including the old guy Paul who he sings about in World of Hurt. He then dedicated the tune to them.

Seems like Play It All Night Long and now Get Downtown are in a different tempo? What do you think? I like it. Mix it up. Also, is someone or someones playing a different guitar? Just has a different feel and sound. Might be the scotch, who knows.

You are right, I do need a trip to Athens for homecoming. And as you guessed, it is hard to make that trip in the middle of the season. I am almost 53 and will retire in two years, so maybe then!
