Re: Cooley in Denver February 23!

See ya'll there. My favorite song writer in my favorite venue. Can't beat that. The Larimer has been sounding so good lately too. Can't wait to "roll the tape" for this one. Hopefully I can persuade whomever needs persuading to let me have a patch off the sound board. Thinking about maybe ...

Re: DBT News Service Hacked?

It's entertaining how many people couldn't figure out what was going on and just replies, thus making the problem worse. Kudos for those of you that made fun of some of the dumb ones. Also liked Soup of the Day. ...and God damn some of you have anger issues! EDIT: People are still replying, so whate...

New Will Johson - Scorpion

New Will album out the same day as Patterson's album (9/11). Wonder if that was planned?

Anyway it's good. I got a MP3 download with my pre-order:

Re: 6-Pack (1997)

1997 was probably my favorite year for music (so far hopefully). OK Computer and Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space (Spiritualized) are two of the best albums ever made (IMO)...and they came out on the SAME DAY. I got one too. Comes with a download code... that doesn't work. Wonderful. Anyone else having the same issue? Says the code "Not in their records." ...and record labels wonder why their customers don't like them. I'd be a little ticked off if I bought it for the download. Luckily I do actu...

I'm with the Dude:

"I hate the fucking Eagles, man."

I think the Truckers should just do a full Springsteen tribute.

Those Busman's are pretty sweet mics for the money.

I guess I was tired...it's been a pretty hectic week. Fixed on the Fox show.

Re: Boulder, March 10

I think it was before Aftermath when Patterson said they were going to play a song they hadn't played in a while, Matt looked like he asked Mike what they were playing. It looked like Mike shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know." Matt seemed to be fine with that. It gave me a littl...

Re: Aspen, March 11

Probably say I liked Aspen the least of the 3. Boulder was the best. Aspen did sound the best, I thought. Boulder was a close second, as the vocals were a little hard to pick up from where we had to set up for recording. There were some things I liked about not having Neff. Mostly that it was just d...

Going to try to stream again tonight. A google search says they have free wi-fi during football games...no word if they keep it on during shows. Re: Boulder, March 10

AH yeah. Stream issues were (1) They had the sound board back where we normally set up (somewhat safe area for a laptop)...so we had to move to the front rail. (2) Didn't matter anyway as there was no open Wifi. Good news is that it sounded AWESOME up there. Hopefully they have Wifi at the Belly Up....

Aftermath was pretty damn cool.

I sort of liked DBT without Neff. Not that I'd want him out, but it was interesting to see a different DBT.

...and damn, that Matt kid on Bass sure seems to be having the time of his life.

I much prefer when DBT plays Aspen between ski season and Summer...damn hotels are pricey this time of year. Even makes NYC hotels look affordable. I would be shocked it this wasn't recorded. Cracker is very pro-taper and usually guest lists taper. Full access too (SBD). My Cracker recordings usually sound amazing, so I would hope for some super high quality.

Looking forward to hearing it.
