Re: Jason Isbell - GQ

This place never disappoints! I came on here to mention the killer outfits in the photos, waaaayyyy too late. Regardless, good read and I for one am happy for his career and exposure, even if I did lose interest in his newer music a couple albums ago.

Yep, outstanding movie and the scenery is unreal. That guys got zero fear. I just went back and listened to his interview on the Joe Rogan Experience, interesting guy. His solar company sounds like a real good thing.

Thanks for the picture Bovine.
Yeah, it is funny how some albums can transport you back to a certain place, this is one of those for sure.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?

John Prine - This Missing Years. (sorry I can't seem to get a pic to post on this forum to save my life) This album was my introduction to him in middle school. My step dad was pretty obsessed with this album, along with Bruce Hornsby and the Range as well as Eric Clapton, August. When I would visit...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

I too saw the commercial about a month or so ago while watching South Park, I really thought it was some sort of skit that they slipped into the show. I then went on the internet and found that it is a real thing, mind blowing stuff there.

There is definitely some good stuff that has been streamed as of late. Jeff Tweedy has been doing some funny stuff on instagram, the handle is stuffinourhouse. Also, jambands has been updating this calendar pretty frequently and has many links to shows. Check it out. https://jambands.com/news/2020/0...

Didn't realize John Moreland had a new one out today, thanks Clams. I just finished the first listen, I like it. These snow days have me spending more time in front of the computer, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, found this write up, good info here. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-cou...

I second that, the Red Barn radio stuff is what got me hooked. Some really good stuff there for sure. I got into Tyler before the hype really set in and honestly his newest album is my least favorite of what he has out there. I should revisit it though and see what I think, it's been awhile.

Agreed Iowan. He has not won yet and I think that the more civil conversations people have with one another, like the one you had today with your coworkers, is what is needed to combat people being hostile with others who do not share their same point of view. Sadly, many people see the example bein...

I've been holding back commenting on any of this. What Zip just said is exactly what I believe will happen. It is extremely unhealthy and creates an even worse climate to live and raise children in. What we are seeing is a complete teenage angst attitude by our president and his family that says "I ...

I love the honesty in this interview. Patterson and Cooley continue to write what they want and have no problem expressing their true feelings in their songs and interviews. I’m excited to hear this new album and see how it all plays out at the shows.

Thanks for posting this, I will check it out this evening. Been a rough year as Neal Casal was one of my absolute favorites. Wilco this Tuesday night. nice, enjoy! Enjoy I did, even though I am not a big fan of the new album they played a lot of choice songs and a couple favorites from a Ghost is Born. The new venue here in Denver was fantastic, I highly recommend seeing any band people may like at the Mission Ballroom.

Yep, I saw the announcement this morning and then about an hour later tickets went on sale. I have been a Black Crowes fan for 30 years but no way I would pay what they are asking for per ticket. I supposed the GA at Red Rocks are not too bad but the way they have the ticket prices set up is pretty ...

I'm not a promoter but they must do a lot of work on figuring out the markets for venue size he will play in what city. Seems like some are small and others over 20,000. The whole thing is pretty interesting.
