Re: Birmingham, UK, 11/13/10

Fantastic show. When the guys came out you could tell they were right on it and opening with lookout mountain had all the hairs standing up on the back of my neck. I'd been to the show in Manchester the night before (my first DBT show) and didn't really understand what all the fuss was about; last n...

Re: Birmingham, UK, 11/13/10

Just a reminder there's a daft curfew for the Birmingham gig of 10pm so when the tickets say doors at 6pm they actually mean it!!!

See y'all on Saturday (and Friday, but sadly not Sunday)

That's in my top ten but not top five. Probably the most intense gig I've ever been to.

Re: Quick List Vol. IV - Your 5 favorite concerts

Neil Young - Nottingham June 2010. Favourite Neil gig and favourite concert ever. Neil really seemed to be enjoying himself and actually interacted with the audience. Plus he did my two favourite Neil young songs back to back - Old Man and Down by the River. REM - Warwick University July 2005. Penul...

Re: Manchester, UK, 11/12/10

This will be my first DBT show. I'm getting really excited and the shows still two weeks away - I keep thinking this really shouldn't be happening at my age :? . And I'm going to the Birmingham show the next day as well (couldn't miss the home town show).

Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?

Went to see Anais Mitchell last night in a small pub in Birmingham. Went completely on the off chance that it would be good and it was. Reminded me of Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, especially the guitar playing. What was the name of the small pub? Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath, Birmingham UK....

This gets me every time I hear it. Golden rod and the 4-H stone The things I brought you When I found out you had cancer of the bone Your father cried on the telephone And he drove his car to the Navy yard Just to prove that he was sorry In the morning through the window shade When the light pressed...

Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?

Hi everyone. New to this so bear with me. Going to see the DBT's in Birmingham, England on 13 November. Really looking forward to it as I only discovered them early this year and they have rapidly become one of my favourite bands. Recently I've been to see: Deer Tick Caitlin Rose (twice) Joanna News...
