Re: Coronavirus - COVID-19
Point of clarification --- the vaccines provide a much higher level of immunity vs. exposure and recovery, because the vax generates a much higher antibody load in your system. That's a fact. If only it was that simple. The jury is still out on how long immunity lasts either way, and the nature of ...

Re: Coronavirus - COVID-19
Why do we no longer hear about herd immunity? It's all vaccines, all the time.
What about all those people who had it, recovered, and now have stronger immunity than the vaccinated?
It makes me wonder.

Then he ended Toby and the sad sacks that canceled Dixie chicks in Once They Banned Imagine so ya know it always circles back. I'm not sure I understand you correctly but it sounds like you're saying that "Once I Banned Imagine" is a protest against both corporate media and individual country singe...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit
What is the justification for not increasing funding for IRS enforcement activities? Really. I don't understand. I know that at some theoretical or fantasy level Republican orthodoxy would say that we don't want taxes at all. But let's try to stay in the real world. There is a tax code. While it re...

I was against it at the time. Same for helmet laws for motorcycles.
Also, there would be a lot fewer overdoses if herion was legal.
note: I always wear a seatbelt, and did so before it was the law, and have never felt the need to try herion.

I saw the Cowboy Junkies at City Winery several years ago. Margo shushed me from the stage.
I was getting too excited about the song they were starting.

Any reports, pics or setlists from Newport? i need to go through my photos and am currently writing the review of the festival, so it is forthcoming! in the meantime, here is my selfie with Cooley after i was a fanboi punisher and asked him for a photo. I also asked him what he thought about City W...

Nope. You are either missing, or just ignoring my point. Then I guess I’m missing your point, as my being vaccinated doesn’t make me any less concerned that a variant is causing more outbreaks of the virus. I’m concerned about more than just myself. "Get the fucking vaccine" is not an expression of...

If you had told me in, say 1970 or 1980 or 1990 that "states' rights" would ever again be the motivating ideology behind a political movement in the United States of America I would have told you you were crazy. Which shows you just how fucking stupid and naive I am. Now, perhaps, but back then, yo...
