Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2015

It's getting to be that time. I doubt this is a definitive list, but it should be the lion's share of artists playing this year and I think it's an amazing and surprising line-up. I've bolded the ones I'm most excited about, but, obviously, your mileage will vary. Dave & Phil Alvin Scott Miller Spir...

EZB and Matt hold down the back end like badass motherfuckers and it allows everything else to shine. Damn song swings. Yep, on top of every other great thing about it, The Living Bubba now swings. Blowing my mind. All hail the rhythm section. OBL, what was it I once said about Mr. Patton? ;) was i...

Re: What's Everyone NOT Listening to?

I've come to realize that I don't like Isbell's music nearly as much as I want to like Isbell's music. His songs are great, but I rarely want to listen to them. Exactly this. I honestly feel he hasn't lived up to the potential demonstrated when he was with DBT. When I am feeling generous, I recogni...

Actually, the loss of fingers was also based on a real person he knew. I don't know if the injury was exactly that, though.

Actually, the second to last track is "Chillout Tent", which is a resounding YES. Girls Like Status is a bonus track on one of the imports (Australia, maybe?).

Any retailer with an electronic POS should be reporting to Neilsen/SoundScan. The ones that don't are the small mom and pop record shops that don't use barcodes at all and just use a calculator. I can only go off what I know from the book business. Any store that scans merchandise can report to Boo...

Surprised no one mentioned the message to Craig L on the cover art. check out the grill of the car. I was there for all three nights and can not wait for this. sound was about perfect for most of the run and the little sample shows that in spades. Gonna have to make some extra room on that grille. ...

I heard a portion of Jason's interview with Elizabeth Cook on her Outlaw Country show this week. I think some of your questions would get answered if you could track it down.
