Re: Artist of the week 12/13/10 Lynyrd Skynyrd

I know the crash site is in a really remote area but I was always surprised that there was never a monument marking the spot.

Any idea how far it is from the actual crash site?

Re: Yet Another Flawed R&RHoF Ballot Omits Warren Zevon

Some other worthy artists that deserve consideration: THE REPLACEMENTS! Cheap Trick, Nick Cave, Wilco, Flaming Lips. There are a lot. You can bet Whitney will get in because they want to stroke Clive Davis. It's sad. He did some good things early in his career but now I call him the man who killed ...

Re: Yet Another Flawed R&RHoF Ballot Omits Warren Zevon

I totally support the induction of Todd Rungren, Pat Benatar, Soundgarden and especially Judas Priest but what about Warren Zevon, Little Feat, Foreigner, Blue Oyster Cult, J. Geils Band? The harsh truth is that Whitney Houston had the right complexion, straight white teeth and could keep pitch and ...

Had tickets to see The Who and The Black Crowes with Jimmy Page at Madison Square Garden. After the Crowes canceled we got Jakob Dylan's band instead. The Mets were in the playoffs and we watched the game waiting for The Who to come on on a small tv in one of the snack bars at MSG.

Re: Rocky Mount: Virginia Sept 17, 2019

Rocky: Rocky Mount is a small town. Great music venue at The Harvester, with a big volunteer organization. They have a lot of great bands on a regular basis. Probably holds 400 to 500 hundred for a standing show. We probably had a couple 100 for The Truckers. Thanks brother. I haven't been but have...
