Tell that to Kings X, Living Colour or Thin Lizzy. Last two are a little stretch but not much.

Re: #bringbackcareless

Yes on both. In fact, I have seen DBT 12 times since 2006 (not a lot for most of you, but a minimal sample size) and I do not believe I have ever seen Careless played. I have seen Roadcases about three times early on, including an epic one around 2008-9 in my hometown of Enterprise not too far from ...

The Ole Miss crap storm is fascinating. I hate to say it but I'm really enjoying it. Lol. Anybody who was paying any attention at all has know there was something dead up the creek for a long time where they were concerned. We all knew something was going on and Freeze was almost certainly dirty bu...

Lukas Nelson and PotR

I ran across this recently. Wow. He has really improved (and was not bad before). I guess his apprenticeship with NY paid off big.

Re: Shonna's new band

That was a great show. Pegi Young put on a great show, much more uptempo than her latest album RAW although she played a number of songs off of it. She had three older albums too. Shonna played well, sang great back up vocals and looked good. The guitar player was great too. He could pick with the b...

Anybody (not) listened to this yet? For the uninformed, it is an 8 hour podcast about a murder investigation in Bibb County, Alabama near Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Very in-depth look into a very rural area even by Alabama standards. My brother teaches at Brookwood High School nearby in Tuscaloosa C...

That was their latest album when I started listening in 2006. World of Hurt and Gravity's Gone can't go wrong for me. Hood's dislike for the title track and Jason's weak effort (understandable in hindsight) make it less than top tier to DBT fans IMHO. No. Title Writer(s) Length 1. "Feb 14" Hood 3:40...

They sold out the Dothan Opera House in an hour or so, mostly online. Small, place, maybe 750 seats, http://www.alabama360.com/dothan/operahouse/tw_dothan_operahouse.html but that's fast for a small town. Apparently the folks at the city were surprised to hear they were interested in playing here. "...

Check these guys out if you get a chance. They are great live and opened some for DBT when first starting out. Browan Lollar from Isbells band is their guitar player.
