Re: RSD Black Friday Plan 9 Records July 13, 2006 3xLP
Any comments on the sound quality of RSD release vs the multitrack recording that was previously in circulation via BitTorrent?

Kyle Craft Recordings
I was knocked out by Kyle Craft's set a few months ago in Ft. Lauderdale -- plus his fantastic debut album. A perfect set-up for a killer DBT set that night. Can anyone point me to live recordings of him?
Many thanks,
Todd

Re: Who should open for DBT next tour?
MALCOLM HOLCOMBE — one of the most extraordinary singer/songwriters of this or any other time. From the hills of NC, his music comes from where folk, blues, and country meet. He's a solo acoustic performer, but plays w/the emotion and intensity of full-blown band -- like DBT!. Check out his stuff on...

Re: DBTs Sacrilege: Guest Producers?
Al Kooper -- one of rock and roll's greatest (but largely unsung) heros. Not only did he discover and produce Skynyrd's first three(?) albums, he's still recording and releasing great solo albums, was in two groundbreaking bands of the '60s (Blues Project, BST), and has played with a pantheon of roc...

Re: Fort Lauderdale 1/20 show@Culture Room
Last night's show was fantastic, high-energy from start to finish. "An evening with," no opener -- band hit the stage at 9:30, ripping into the one-two of "Dead, Drunk and Naked-Guitar NB Upstairs. Don't have a set list, but some standouts for me were Uncle Frank, Gravity's Gone, Sink...

Re: DBT's Live Shows with and without Jason
Only seen the band twice—once with Jason in 2006 and in 2008 with the current lineup. Both tremendous, but a bit different. And looking forward to next week's gig in Fort Lauderdale!
But I'd really be interested to hear impressions about the band's earlier days with Rob Malone and Earl Hicks.

Fort Lauderdale 1/20 show@Culture Room
Looking forward to it! Anybody know what time the band will start their set? Or if there's an opening act? It's impossible to get information about shows at the club...they have a phone recording and that's about it. See you there!
