Re: Spring Tour 2023

Great show last night in Birmingham. Patterson's mom was there as well as his sister and her husband and a number of others. Guys seemed to be in a great mood. Only negative was that either Cooley was mumbling a lot or his mic was not calibrated correct. I believe it was the latter. Maria's Awful Di...

Re: Jeopardy clue

I saw Isbell in ATL on Friday night and he mentioned it, although he said it more in terms of the clue being something more about what the DBTs were.

New Album? & ATL 11/12

I seem to remember hearing an interview with PH someplace recently where he said they have recorded a new album but that it likely will not come out until next summer due to issues with getting it pressed. Is that true, or did I hear an old interview I thought was new? Saw the actual "World's Greate...

Thanks for posting.

How was the show?

Seems there is a bit less excitement this time around than in the past. I know I'm looking forward to seeing The Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band In The World in ATL the night after I see the Stones. :-)

Here's one of Isbell doing an extended version of "Never Gonna Change" along with Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well."

Re: Live At The Shoals Theatre - Mike Cooley, Patterson Hood, Jason Isbell 4LP Box Set

I just found this on Spotify but was wondering if the vinyl releases kept the between song banter/discussion? Or if there is a version someplace that does have that. The music is great but I would love to hear more of what is included as the "Intro" on the Spotify version and what I've seen from a f...

Re: Feedback needed on Avondale Brewery

I am very tempted to attend the show at the Avondale Brewery in Birmingham on 10/22. My plan is to fly in for the day and hang around Birmingham and going to the National Civil Rights Museum before attending the show. Any feedback on the venue? Sounds like it will be outdoors as it is rain or shine...

Re: Whitefish, MT - July 18

Here is a link to most of their performance: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuTGtzvg6wtBTKar3J2osoZxfN6EJN1lO FWIW, they played Marry Me, something not reflected in the post above. Also, the guy who put this up has a number of other videos of other acts at the Under The Big Sky show includin...

DBTs Mention On Television Show

There is a show called "The Unicorn." It is a half hour comedy staring the great Walton Goggins who was in the film "The Accountant" which I seem to remember having some tie to the DBTs. He was also Boyd Crowder in the late, great Justified. Anyway, in this show Goggins plays a widowed father of two...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

Damn. I just realized I'm a carpetbagger. Good thing the great folks of Louisville Ky. treat this So. Cal. boy with open arms. They do warn me about venturing to far past the outer suburbs though. :D Oh, but you *do* need to get outside the outer suburbs because if you stay within them you are in L...

God they are awful. I think they actually only have four songs but suck so bad at playing them that they sound different every night so people think they are getting a diverse setlist.

Good to hear! If you go back a page you will see that I asked about this. I could probably make it for all three, but have tix for the last night in BHM. Hope you are correct!

Re: New Fall tour dates!

While you all may laugh at my question because if you have a chance to see three shows, why pick one, I do wonder - is it best to see the first of three shows in a row in the same city or the last? I could make it to all Bham shows (I am in T-town) but probably will not. I purchased tix for Thursday...

Re: American Band- 9/30/16

I loved every bit of the press release, why mince words? The band has something to say and they did so. Why should they have to worry about stepping on anyone's toes when Trump, the nra, and a large amount of their supporters sure don't. This country is getting scary, we are uncomfortably close to ...
