Re: 20th Anniversary of Decoration Day

Why Henry Drinks has been posted on the same page. This is outstanding footage. Thankful for what's been released so far but it would be awesome to get the whole show. By no means to take a swipe at the current lineup but to anyone who thinks they're playing "better than ever" right now or anytime i...

Anyone got an extra for Cooley in Chicago Saturday?

Turns out my schedule is now clear and I've got the ability to get to Chicago this weekend. Unfortunately for me (but great for Cooley!) the show is sold out. Anyone think they might have an extra or know anyone who does?

Thanks,

Cory

Re: HeAthen’s West

Super fun show last night. Celebrated 20 years on the bus. We’ve all grown up a lot since then. I saw some familiar (most un-introduced)) faces from 3DD last night, including UR & CG up front as well as the ever present World Wide Bill. Maybe tonight I’ll get a chance to say hi. Pappy and Harriet’s...

Can't believe they busted out "Daddy Learned to Fly," recently. One of those tunes you kind of forget about because you never expect to see it. Patterson, please keep that one in the mix!!!

Re: Fall Tour with American Aquarium

According to Worldwide, “Forged in Hell” has been played one other time live—in 2015! You would have never known it considering A. How well it played and B. It was on the latest album; I just assumed it was something they had been playing since the release of Club 13. It had a really nice jam at th...

Re: Fall Tour with American Aquarium

So I saw the show in Grand Rapids on Tuesday night. I believe it was the first time the band played Grand Rapids since 2008 (Patterson had actually asked the audience at one point if they had ever played Grand Rapids before lol). I was not at the 2008 show so it was special being able to see them in...

Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?

I went to a music festival in Ohio last weekend. Incredible lineup with lots of Indie rock which is my jam. Nelsonville. I camped but it was a relatively small and low key festival, which was great. Highlights: Rose City Band playing a 12:30am "campground tent stage" set until well after 2am. Jake X...

Re: Wednesday

I've seen them twice in the last month: at a tiny club in my town (Grand Rapids, MI) as headliners and in the daytime at a music festival (Nelsonville). I enjoyed both sets tremendously. They are so good live. They need to work on show length. Their headlining set was barely longer than an hour. I b...

Saw My Morning Jacket for the 9th time tonight. Somehow managed to get five songs I had never seen live before (Cobra, The Bear, Easy Morning Rebel, Wasted and Least Expected). Show opened with Phone Went West. Ridiculous. Phone opening would have been worth the price of admission. Tonight- Lyle Lo...

I think you can say that about the most reissues/remasters. MMJ’s “It Still Moves” remaster is the only one I can think of that made me delete the original version forever. That remix was like a completely new album and was infinitely better Appreciate the recommendation. I never really dove too de...

I presume this means they’re taking the summer off? Interesting.

If that is indeed the case, I wonder what the reason would be that DBT couldn't start earlier?

Re: Drinking Coke and Eating Ice & other Lost Cooley Classics

Cooley's static set list choices for the rock show is a big part of why I stopped traveling for the band. It's the same 12-15 songs from him every night. If Patterson is in a mood where he is also sticking to a core group of tunes, it's makes for a pretty unspontaneous show.

Re: the Springsteen thread

It’s disappointing to see an artist with such a deep catalog is out there playing the same set list every night. Agreed. The start of the tour typically goes like this for him but we are now 8 or so shows in on a tour that isn't really behind an album or thematically structured so the lack of set l...
