Re: Homecoming 2020! Feb 13-15

I purchased three tickets for tonight at the original on-sale. The tickets are at will call under my name. I ended up not being able to attend HC this year but need to get the tickets to my group that will be there (Zip Up to Michigan and two others). TicketsToday is telling me they can't help get ...

I'll play! SRO TDS DD English Oceans BTCD Big To Do Pizza Deliverance American Band Gangstabilly Unraveling Blessing and a Curse Go Go Boots SRO, TDS, DD can go in any order, but there are no other reasonable contenders for top 3 status. Just my heavy handed opinion, of course ;-) After that it gets...

Re: The Unraveling

Why would you cut those songs? Even if you believe they dilute the record (which I 100% disagree with btw), isn't the world a better place with those three songs in it?? Seriously. I have long thought that Big To Do and Go Go Boots are two middling DBT albums that could've been one great one. Not u...

Re: I need HC Tix-all requests here please

Big thanks to Narducci for the Thursday ticket. This will be my 8th or 9th HC. I generally show up on the forum around HC because my friends and I always seem to buy too many or too few tickets. One year I was buying and selling tickets to the same show on the same day because we were so crossed up ...

Re: Homecoming 2020! Feb 13-15

The issue is not whether people will come to the shows, nor is it whether the band can sell out the 3 shows. The issue is really the same as above, i.e. can homecoming retain its special flavor if not everybody who wants to go can go and if the difficulty in obtaining tickets starts to undermine th...

I had gotten on Friday afternoon, so was able to get all 3 nights. Looking forward to HeAthens Homecoming 2019! After hearing from Schlanky that Saturday show had sold out, I checked StubHub just to see if they had tickets for the show. There are indeed Saturday night tickets on StubHub, for $280. ...

You’re fine. Saturday won’t sell out for 2-3 weeks and the others after that I would've said the same thing but I just had a scare at lunch break today when Ticketfly was showing no tickets available for Saturday. I swung by this forum to see if DBT somehow became massively more popular, saw nothin...

Re: Heathens Homecoming 2018

Speaking of the crowd, I noted earlier that Thursday nite's audience was a little younger and more female than the typical DBT show. Friday was a return to the usual demographics, but it seemed to me that Saturday may have been the best attended show by women of any that I've attended. I think a nu...

Based on this thread, there may be people in the world who would rather hear Cooley sing Bob or Lisa's Birthday than Daddy's Cup.

I'm in for Friday/Saturday, my 5th homecoming. The girlfriend tried it out last time and liked it, but not enough to come back this time. She's going to the Tabernacle show though, so it may be a seats vs. no seats issue as someone above mentioned.

Re: American Band- 9/30/16

Surrender Under Protest sounds amazing. Agree with a lot of that extra long Cole Younger post. As a general matter, cops shooting black people (or white people) isn't a political issue. It's a human issue. And if it's a political issue, why does Patterson overtly support the party/president that's b...

Re: Songs you wanna see brought back

A random aside, but as much as Sinkhole rocks, being too sympathetic for the farmer bugs me a little, and I say this is as a farmer. For one, it's a 5th generation farm. That thing is paid off. The protagonist (almost certainly) inherited it, and has no money of his own in it, or at least didn't at...

Re: Songs you wanna see brought back

In regards to politics in DBT's songs....they have been so prevalent in some form or fashion throughout the band's history. Given your post above, one might assume that you dislike Puttin' People on the Moon. Or the political undertones involved in the story behind Sinkhole (and thus The Accountant...

The Lucero one is classic -- both guys' setup is so simple they almost can't fathom the point of a "rig rundown" interview.

What's happened in the past has been IF the 40 Watt release any tickets it's 10 days out or less. If I were y'all and hunting for tix I would start paying close attention around the 1st of the month. They don't always release any but when they do they're gone in hours. Also, 10 days out or less mig...
