Re: DBT Tracks - Week #5 - Why Henry Drinks
I got in the car to go to work this morning knowing that I have to think hard about some major stuff and make some decisions in the next few weeks. I put my Truckers records on shuffle because all human life is there and the universe is sometimes helpful in these situations. First track? Why Henry D...

http://bitterbananas.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Stalin1952.jpg My point exactly. The USSR started out trying to do good and, after considerable internal turmoil and leadership changes, ended up with Stalin. It took about twenty years for the whole enterprise to go completely south. Compare that...

maybe i am way out of my element here, but is Waters' position on Israel basically anti-settlement? Waters' position on Israel is basically anti-Semitic. I went to the record store and picked up AB the day after it came out. It was the second anniversary of my brother Keith deciding that his best move was to get into his bathtub with an AR15. Some of the reasoning is that the first 2 albums don't have enough Cooley and Patterson's singing wasn't what it became. An example is The Living Bubba, which may be my favorite DBT song. I'd listen to the recent live album version everyday over the studio album. AAW is my favourite released versio...

My wife has only ever been to one show with me in 9 years and that was a relatively sedate Isbell last year. I'm not sure she's going to recognise the maniac I become in the presence of greatness.

I've never had any particular dislike for Seger (or the Eagles). I can understand how people of that era would. I've probably posted it in here before, but Connor Oberst is my main "makes you irrationally angry" artist. His vocal styling is just infuriating to me. He literally sounds like a snivell...
