Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

I watched Alex Gibney's new film "Totally Under Control" last night. I thought it was really well done and suggest watching it. I know...there is a thread for this... BUT In the movie I learned that the earliest superspreader event was traced back to a "Square Dancing Party in Seattle." I laughed ou...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

Clams I agree with what you and others are saying. I don’t decide to not visit any place that doesn’t align with me politically. I just have no desire to go there or Portland. And that is based on what a few city blocks in those two locations have turned into in the past few months. Cole - took the...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

Look I’ve never been to Seattle. I have no desire to ever go. That's a shame. Back in the days of business travel I was a frequent visitor to Seattle. It's one of my favorite cities to visit. It is a stunningly beautiful city with great food, beer, music and people. I've walked hundreds of miles in...

RIP Billy Joe Shaver

Saw him play many, many times. Don't know if I can name a more authentic songwriter.

Fuck 2020. Make it stop.

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

I agree that the leadership focus on Wall Street, etc. and anywhere else they can raise big $$ is terrible, but I'm not sure what other options exist in today's world, especially given what would happen politically if they moved much further left. Of course they can and should do a lot more for the...

One week.

One. Week.

It's been a long four years. It's been a fucking long year.

Is it going to be okay? Someone tell me it's all going to be okay.

Trump personal attorney Rudy Giuliani argued on Tuesday that the American public deserved to see reports based off material from Hunter Biden’s laptop “even if it isn’t accurate.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/giuliani-says-even-if-hunter-laptop-story-isnt-accurate-americans-are-entitled-to-know-it...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

Guys, general question, excuse my ignorance about your process... Why are the lines so long? I understand theres a big turnout but in the Uk, Ive never had to wait longer than two minutes to vote. Are there not enough polling stations? Does the voting process itself take a long time? Combination of...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

A lot of Californians must agree with Orange Man. It seems like everybody who can leave is leaving. Who would want stupidly high taxes and politicians who act as if the state is a prison and they are the prison staff? Wow. Hyperbole much? I've enjoyed meeting you over the years and having a beer wi...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

Early voting in Texas started today at 7am. I was in line at 640am. There were several hundred people ahead of me. By the time the polls opened there were at least another hundred behind me. I waited in line for a bit over two hours to cast my ballot. It was wonderful. Cathartic. Amazing. I've been ...

After everything we have been through the last four years, I shook my head this weekend thinking, "it is just all so STUPID". Embarrassing and dumb.

Early voting in Texas starts tomorrow morning at 7am. I plan to be in line at that time. Let's do this.....Fuck Stupid and Fuck Trump.

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

Anybody have a clue what Trump's "no stimulus now" position is about? Was it just an attempt to put pressure on the Dems to accept the "skinny plan" that he later endorsed? Even by Trumpian standards the past few days have been dizzying. My read on it is that Trump acted on his own, without much, i...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

Good stuff, Cole. These debates are mostly for show, as I don't think ANYONE is going into them unsure of who to vote for. There are no nuanced differences here. Even by the low expectations I entered with, it was awful. Possibly the worst presidential debate of all time. Trump doesn't give a fuck ...

Re: The Neverending Thread for Political Shit

I haven't watched the whole thing yet but I did enjoy it when Biden called Trump a clown. It's surrealistic that a significant part of the country still believes Trump's bullshit. Doesn't say a lot for the overall IQ of the country. I don't think it is nice to ever make fun of a person's appearance.

I get not liking Orange Man. But he succeeded in construction which is pretty complicated and stressful on large projects. And he had his ups and downs but he has been in the game for a really long g time and is remarkably stress resistant. Cole - this simply isn't true. In private life, Trump has ...

...funny...just last night I was talking with a few buddies about when we would consider the quarantine over, and my mark is being able to see a show at the Continental Club.

I don't know if this goes here...but it's kind of fun. My 10yr daughter recently got her first Jeans Jacket and expressed interest about getting some cool patches to iron on.
