Re: Live At The Shoals Theatre - Mike Cooley, Patterson Hood, Jason Isbell 4LP Box Set

So this did all types of sales. Interesting how many copies it's sold.

Haven't seen any of the blue & red out in the wild. Did anyone get that color combo?

Re: RSD Black Friday Plan 9 Records July 13, 2006 3xLP

Guess it's being released wide. I kinda hate when something is an exclusive and then gets mass-produced. It kinda takes the zing out of RSD and releases of the like. Oh, and this will be on colored vinyl :? https://mediacdn.aent-m.com/prod-img/500/21/3982921-2719935.jpg?ae=1806776142 https://www.pop...

Oh dang! Tucker!

Know him from my college. He did the show after me.

Folks, trust me, he is the real deal as a songwriter + poet.

Looks like I missed that colored vinyl. Bummer!

They can feel pushed and forced, can be overly sugary and often fail to address the nuances of falling in love. Sylvie's Love doesn't fall into these pratfalls and is a great piece of filmmaking. Re: Last Movie Watched

My wife makes fun of me because I've watched the Bee Gees doc four times already. Hah no shame. They kind of did by mentioning that the brothers covered The Beatles, but did not explicitly mention the project. The film also neglected to reveal they had a sister who sometimes performed with them in ...

Our local distillery has been strictly gin--and probably the best botanical flavors I've had. But, they've also been working on whiskey. And, it's finally coming to fruition. They're basically printing $$. Each offering goes on sale and sells out in less than 20 minutes. Their latest offering is the...

RIP Tony Rice

Hopefully many of you have heard Tony Rice's output, either by himself with great albums like Manzanita or with others on things like the Pizza Tapes. He passed away on Christmas, and there is a gaping hole now in bluegrass and folk music. Here's what some folks had to say: Isbell: Tony Rice was the...

Rocketman - Finally caught up w/ this one. Kind of like my view of Elton - entertaining but not a lot of depth. It's kinda weird when a totally cliched story happens to be true, lol. I wanted this to be so much more than it was. It felt sanitized, or maybe the pacing was wonky. Or both. Yes, it had all the important elements of a documentary -- but it lacked the meat. Creem mag deserved more.
