Re: New Patterson and Cooley Solo Shows in December

I was also at the Knoxville show. My first time seeing Lydia, and she was incredible. Patterson was amazing and he seemed to be having so much fun. A very small crowd, but a crowd that clearly wanted to be there very much, which is better than a bunch of jaded people.

Re: Columbus 10/23

Also, something very cool and random happened to me at/after the show. I parked my Jeep in one of the nearby OSU garages, and I had one of the oval "DBT" stickers in the back left windshield. When I came back to my car that night, someone randomly gifted me a second identical sticker right...

Re: Columbus 10/23

Hey "Rev" Todd,

Just wanted to say Hi and connect! I was the redheaded woman in the Tennessee shirt standing in front of you and in front of Cooley, with the two very tall guys.

Re: Anyone out there have a DBT tattoo??

Roland just answered the question of what kind of DBT tattoo will be right for me - the "stained glass Cooley bird" fits my style and fits in with the rest of my other tattoos (rather feminine) really nicely. I dig Wes Freed's work so much but I'm afraid out of context it wouldn't look rig...

Re: What the hell does this lyric mean?

While we're analyzing lyrics, here's what I've always wondered about: "Don't ever say your car is broke." Should we take this to mean that if you have car trouble, you should keep quiet about it? Or does the narrator just dislike the particular way of stating "my car is broke." ?

Re: Jason Isbell Surprise show OKC 7/9/14

Thanks DiamondDave! I've hung out by the bus in the past but I've always been hesitant because I don't want to bug them. But I think you're right, a polite greeting should usually be OK. I'm glad Jason was awesome to you.

Re: Buckle Up Festival

No, I should have done a setlist and I didn't:( I do recall the following (not in order):

Lookout Mountain
Box of Spiders
A Ghost to Most
Get Downtown
Shit Shots Count
Pauline Hawkins
Grand Canyon
This Highway's Mean

Re: Buckle Up Festival

It was a very fast tight one hour set due to festival schedule, but excellent as always. Patterson did a nice long monologue intro to "Box of Spiders," and they had a solid and receptive crowd. They ended with an especially impassioned "Grand Canyon," and we watched as the guitar...

Re: The Shed Maryville,TN 7/18!!!

Oh ok:) I don't know who that guy is, but he's awesome and fun to watch. I saw him at an Isbell show last spring in Knoxville and then he popped up again at Buster's in Lexington in June. Mid-20s looking white guy, has a Cooley bird on his right shoulder, and the most excited fan I have EVER seen at...

Buford, you are awesome! I'm a VERY beginner guitar player but I can eek my way through "Tornadoes" now thanks to you. Also, please take this in the spirit it's intended: you are seriously adorable and my bf and I love the way you say "bird finger." We say "bird finger"...

Re: DBT at Busters in Lexington, KY on June 13

I wish I would have followed this thread before the show so we could have met up with some of y'all! And thanks for clearing up what PH said after "he never saw the Clash," 'cause I couldn't make it out. Seems like there were rowdy a-holes all over that night - my BF took a beer can to the...

Re: Newbies--Introduce yourselves

Personal partners. Not really looking for any more of THOSE kind at the Indy show:)

Kinda like the "Sister Wives" show, only without any religious agenda, and not everyone lives together. But everyone's friendly and chill:)

Indy 3/25

I'll be coming in from out of town solo to see the Indy show on March 25. I'd love some new friends to meet up with for food beforehand or to stand with at the show. Let me know if you'll be there and you're friendly!

Re: Newbies--Introduce yourselves

Hey y'all, I got into DBT a couple of years ago when an online friend shared a link to "Decoration Day." Checked out more of their stuff, and was blown away by the combo of astute lyrics and amazing musicianship. Just enough country, just enough rock, just enough punk. Also a big fan of Ja...
