Re: HC 2023 dates?

Conflicts with The Masters have always perturbed me.

Re: Pronouncing Ramon

Wow, thanks guys. Honestly, I expected to log in here and find myself pummeled beyond recognition with fists and flaming arrows from all quarters. :-)

Re: Pronouncing Ramon

The clams in Philadelphia will kill you, all full of Delaware Bay petrochemical gunk and all that. And god bless Vic Chesnutt and all that, but he ain't got a goddamn thing to do with this. If you're from Texas you can sorta get around mispronouncing Spanish as long as you do it in the traditional w...

Pronouncing Ramon

I already have a tortured 'relationship' with Cooley, since that time in Austin when I drunkenly had him sign the back of some other band's poster so that I could send it to my metal band friends in Chilean Patagonia (see earlier posts). Cooley hates me, but I have to speak up. Who the hell is going...

Re: Newbies--Introduce yourselves

Adopted Austinite since 1992 but I'm not sure for how much longer. Longtime occasional lurker. I tried to register here a couple of times a few years ago, when I lived overseas, but suffered rejection as I was apparently among those whose dreams of 3DD glory were quashed by an errant IP address fil...

Re: Cooley in Austin, 12/6 and 12/7

Thanks Jonicont and Belt Loop for the reassurance.

Even I enjoyed the absurdity of having to deny the paper bag and manicure.

I'm going to have to Glomar on the other thing. I can neither confirm or deny the existence of records related to crying.

Re: Cooley in Austin, 12/6 and 12/7

Wow, jeez. I had no idea what I would uncork when... Let me just clarify once more for the record (pardon the shouting): I WAS NOT THE GUY THAT PASSED OUT ON COOLEY'S AMPS. I DID NOT LEAVE A PAPER BAG, FULL OR EMPTY, AT THE HOLE IN THE WALL. THE ONLY MANICURE I'VE EVER HAD IS COURTESY OF MY OWN FRON...

Re: Cooley in Austin, 12/6 and 12/7

Hey. Wait a minute. I was *not* the guy that passed out on Cooley's monitors and am generally not a rowdy drunk. In fact, I didn't pass out later at the Crown and Anchor either, that was a little bit of poetic license, although I wasn't in the best shape by then. I will admit, however, that I trippe...

Re: Cooley in Austin, 12/6 and 12/7

Nah. Getting into a chick band would hurt my macho reputation.

Cooley Hates Me. Do I have any options left?

I didn't pass out on Cooley's monitors (saved that for the Crown & Anchor), however, in my exalted inebriation on Friday night, I decided that my friend and frontman of Patagonia's greatest deathmetal band would be charmed by a personally inscribed message from Cooley. It seemed perfectly reason...
