Was going to comment on this when I got around to typing up my thoughts on the weekend, but Gaetzi captured many of those thoughts, and this format is way funnier than anything I was likely to come up with in prose.gepman wrote: 11 - Buttholeville^

Re: Denver 1/13-1/14
And here we are.. the weekend of the Denver Rock Show is finally upon us! Beyond psyched for these. I believe the last Ogden DBT show was in 2012 (?) (which I missed due to a wedding in Mexico)- prior to that it was a Fri and Sat in mid March 2011 touring behind Go-Go Boots when they'd play a few p...

brad armstrong-empire: dexateens guitarist. formerly fronting the band 13ghosts. armstrong plays all instruments (not banjo or drums). reminds of lucero dude's last pale light in west . except better and louder. I love Last Pale Light, so definitely need to check that out. Ditto, and really digging...

Yeah, I imagine there's a fair bit of that. Kristofferson. Stones. Faces. Clash. But I wonder what he listens to that was released after 1980 or so.jr29 wrote:

It also made me realize how much I would love a Beats 1-style program from the band, not trying to make more work for the guys, but sign me up for W-DBT Radio. This makes me think about how I've always wanted to know more about what Cooley is listening to at any given time. I think we generally ten...

Thanks for the updates on the roads brother and the encouragement to try to make it. Still holding my breath but it don't look good and I don't want these tickets to go to waste. We'll see what shakes out - lord knows I wanna be there - especially since the last show they had to cut short due to li...

Re: Songs you wanna see brought back
Have they not been playing g World of Hurt? I think I've seen that one at every show I've been to. That's probably an exaggeration but only a slight one. Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have put it on there. Might just be that I've been missing it, for whatever reason. They didn't play it in Aspen or at Re...

Considering a new leg of the tour kicks off in my town in six days, of course this is where my mind is. Since "Love Like This" and "One of These Days" were revived on the last leg, they're not on this list. Carl Perkins' Cadillac Company I Keep Anything from the Buford Pusser trilogy Panties in Your...

2 Tickets for Louis CK in Denver 1/18
It's shaping up to be a banner week for me in Denver. I get to see my favorite band (twice), followed shortly by my favorite comedian. But I just found out that my brother is going to be traveling for work, which frees up two of my four Louis CK tickets at the Bellco Theater on 1/18. Section Lower 2...

In for my seventh and eighth DBT & DBT-related shows of the Darkened Flags era. CO getting lots of love recently, but it's been a long while since a proper Rock Show in Denver (one night at the Fillmore on Record Store Day 2014 was the last one). Pumped.

Just noticed that Dragondeer has replaced Kyle Craft as the opener for the Ogden shows. Their frontman opened for Cooley on Saturday and I really enjoyed his set, so it'll be cool to see the full band.

I only went on Friday. Good set. I thought the song selection was strange...not the songs, but the order of them...but like someone said...rules do not apply to Cooley. I don't know what to make of opening a show w/ "Space City." Seems to violate pretty much every rule in the show business rule book, but hey, it's Cooley, so it's not like the rule book applies. In any case, you got to hear Space City and there ain't nothing wrong w/ that. :) Indeed. I was pretty a...

Re: Cooley Denver 12/2 and 12/3
No 206 to Denver? Maybe tonight. What happened to that song anyways? Does he ever play it anymore? Yeah that is kind of a surprise. I've never seen him solo so I don't know how often he plays 218 to Denver but my feeling is that it's not all that often. Cooley seems to stick to mostly the same song...

Didn't see this posted anywhere yet, so forgive me if it's a duplicate. That's some fancy-pants press focusing mostly on the 15th anniversary of SRO. Awesome to see.
