I have some pics of the show, and they're here:

They had some incredible lighting on Shonna, so there are quite a few good ones of her.

Great show! I got home a few hours ago (Mr. Merrikat and I drove 6.5 hours for this one) and it was totally worth it. Still blissed out and happy about the whole experience! Got a spot right up front before the openers and rocked out. Awesome time, and I still don't have my voice back!! Also I'm a n...

Oh God, I don't think I could translate lyrics into Latin at this point, I haven't used it that much since I graduated, which was 96! I took a year of Ancient Greek as well, but don't ask me to translate anything into Greek either. For that matter, the 3 years of Spanish I took are pretty much long...

Wow, what a small world! Another Classics major, I'm impressed, we are very few and far between! Yes, Penny Lane, you can speak Latin. Most people don't, but it is possible. My last class senior year was a doozy. I was the only person in it and they wouldn't give us a classroom so I had to meet in ...

My colleagues now assume I'm going to a DBT show if I have a vacation day. The last time I was about to head out for vacation, my colleague asked, are you heading to another DBT show? Also, I managed to slip a promo for DBT onto our website. We had to write up something about ourselves for the Who'...

If it weren't for Ryan Adams' brilliance/insanity, would anyone give a shit about Whiskeytown? Then who would've taken UC's place? In hindsight, with all that went on in the 80's punk (particularly the Replacements subtle "country" tinges, Jason & the Scorchers, etc) and the awfulness of mainstream country music, it was a natural thing that alt-country occured - so maybe it woul...
