Re: RIP Peter Green
This one hits, hard. I know we all tend to say this when someone influential, etc. in music passes but I can't help myself. Such a great musician and quite frankly he and that small period in the Mac's history don't get enough credit. Gonna have to bust out the Peter Green Anthology box set this aft...

I still have a CD player as part of my home system and in my car (2014 Toyota Camry). I refuse to acknowledge the inevitable demise of the compact disc. I just bought a new laptop last week and had to purchase one of these to continue importing and burning CDs. https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/B...

Playing this right now- first Prine album I put on when I got home from work. John Prine - This Missing Years. (sorry I can't seem to get a pic to post on this forum to save my life) This album was my introduction to him in middle school. My step dad was pretty obsessed with this album, along with B...

Wow. Just wow. At work this morning, playing my personal Spotify soul station as I usually do at work on Fri. am. I have 8-10 of his tunes plugged in there and a few come on randomly. Then, I see the news alert about his passing. No sooner do I text a couple friends about it then "World Keeps Going ...

That record is so sick, so glad they reissued it. Really, REALLY want a By Your Side reissue. Prob my favorite from them and arguably their most underrated & underappreciated record. Never got into By Your Side. Went back to it 10 yrs. after it came out and still felt underwhelmed. It's my least fa...

Heard Armageddon on Outlaw Country. Second time listening to it. Good riff, and it fits squarely into the current "era" of DBT (which I define as the post-Heat Lightning/Jay Gonzalez era). I still can't warm to the use of piano in the uptempo rock songs. The incessant "plink plink plink plink" unde...

Very good album. Very 'slap-dash' in how it's put together but there are a lot of stand-outs scattered throughout. Some, I can definitely imagine the Crowes doing back in the day, ie. Idle Time, California, etc.
