Re: Fort Collins, CO Night 1 - 10/6/18

Okay - good to know. I didn’t think it was Babies In Cages at first, but then toward the end it sounded like Patterson said that in one of the lines. The main line in the song was ‘Evil In This World.’ But yeah - it sounded great.

Fort Collins, CO Night 1 - 10/6/18

After seeing the 30 song setlist from Boulder last night, I thought they might have a brief show tonight. Boy was I wrong. 31 songs tonight. Great overall setlist as well. They appeared to be having a great time, and the tequila was flowing. Not sure if it sold out, but was full. Doors were at 6, wi...

Re: July 28th and July 29th at Red Rocks

Looked like BigTom was taping last night, so maybe we’ll see it soon. Have seen the guys at Red Rocks all the other times they’ve opened, but I think this is the first time they’ve been on stage with it being dark and the seats pretty much full. That made this one special. Hoping for What It Means t...

Re: Boulder Chautauqua Auditorium 6/16 - 6/17

I wouldn't want to see the guys there regularly, but I thought it was a great change of pace. I didn't get to see a Dirt Underneath show back in the day - they played it in Georgia when I was in Colorado and vice versa. So this felt a little like a second chance for a stripped down show experience. ...

Re: Venues You've Seen DBT

Zip City - I hate the fact that I missed that DBT / Ryan Bingham pairing. That was a good twin bill. My favorite all-time DBT opener is Centro-Matic. The Dickinson brothers of North MS All-Stars was pretty nice as well. And like I mentioned, I love me some T. Hardy Morris.

Yeah, I know. Any suggestions / experience? She has some earphones she uses to listen to stuff, so she's already comfortable with those. They aren't built for ear protection, but I wasn't sure if they can pretty much serve the same function, or if I need to get something specific to protection.

Venues You've Seen DBT

Don't post often, but after taking the time to count the venues I've seen the band, and realizing I'm about to hit 19, I thought maybe it would be cool to do a roll call of seeing just how many venues and where you've seen DBT shows. I'll start... Total - 19 (so long as I make next weekend's show) A...

Re: Boulder Chautauqua Auditorium 6/16 - 6/17

Also an interesting venue in that they don't serve alcohol, according to the website. (The venue is never completely closed to the elements, and leftover drink/food would draw wildlife, according to the website.) My almost five year old daughter has been dying to see a rock show with me for a while ...

Re: Myrtle Beach HOB 7/23

Some random things that stuck out to me last night... - You could tell the guys were excited to be back together again after having some time off. Patterson kind of did a skipping/galloping thing onto the stage when they came out. Never seen that before. - In addition to his normal infectious smile,...

Re: Myrtle Beach HOB 7/23

Looking forward to seeing the band tomorrow night. Was hoping to get a place down there (live in Wilmington) and stay the night, but my rock and roll buddies around here can't take off work Friday. So I guess I'll just limit my consumption and drive back. Anyhow, some of the best shows are the first...

Re: the posts about Zeb's Barbecue, I'll vouch for that place. Went to UGA for undergrad and grad school, and that was our go-to for barbecue. It's a 30 minute drive (might even be a 26-mile drive if you're coming from the far side of Athens), but it was better than anything in Athens. That being sa...

Ales for ALS (and Ben)

Hey, y'all. I post rarely, but lurk often. Somehow I never clicked on the Uncle Frank thread, but I couldn't help but know exactly who Ben was. I saw him at the 40watt shows, of course. And knew how awesome it was that the band made sure he was side stage to have a good view. And I saw him at Nuci's...

Re: DBT House of Blues Myrtle Beach, SC 6/7/14

Made it down from Wilmington for this one. Great show. As has been said, I thought the HOB was a great venue. Clean, cool décor, good sound, etc. The show was far from sold out, but it's a big venue. The crowd was still pretty decently sized and got into it really well, especially during Hell No I A...

That Red Rocks show may have very well changed mine and my wife's life trajectory. We decided to head out for the show from Athens. After we booked the trip, a job for her opened in Denver. They probably never would have flown her in for an interview, but she was able to say, 'I'll be in town if you...

There's a two day gap between Myrtle Beach and Norfolk, so I'm hoping that means a Wilmington show gets squeezed in there. Maybe they just don't have the details worked out yet.
