Re: August 13 DBT The Caverns Pelham, TN
I could have gone home happy after the Bulldozers / Panties openers, but the whole night was a blast. On the way in I told my buddy that as much as I love the Angels & Fuselage closer I was really hoping for a People Who Died kind of night, and... https://i.makeagif.com/media/4-20-2017/j0Uq1E.gif Gr...

I still think it's a stupid phrase, but my stance has softened considerably over the decade it's been rattling around in your brain.
Have you made any changes in your life over the past 10 years? Have your positions shifted at all?

Re: New Album? & ATL 11/12
So I was on the rail that night, and I was hypervigilant because some drunk-ass Charlie Manson look-alike was hanging behind me and being rather obnoxious to the ladies I was with. I did not see any kids in my vicinity. Where was this? Over Cooleyville way, right up next to the speakers. My right e...

This makes no fucking sense. Who gives a fuck what someone wears... Jokes aside, douchebag assholes come from all walks of life and wear many different "outfits"... As long as you're not one, who cares about your "outfit". Rock on. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a7/14/e2/a714e2147fd22069b3f0432852d...

You can always stay at home and live-stream in your man cave.
I'm just hoping for a fun, friendly show. Not as easy as one would hope in Atlanta.

1) Masters Tournament / Augusta National polos are as ubiquitous in Georgia as springtime pollen. It's not the next MAGA hat. 2) I've been to a few hundred DBT shows over the past 20 years, and I've worn a collared shirt and shorts or khakis to a whole bunch of them. How horribly, tragically sad. I mostly just lurk here, but Smitty was a guy I'd see at shows and think "I know who he is from the internet." I wouldn't make a point of looking for him at shows, he was just so often there. Good energy and vibes to his family -- especially his children, my goodness --...

I'm surprised to not see https://www.david-joy.com/ mentioned in this thread.
He's a wonderful young Appalachian author with four novels (https://www.david-joy.com/books), the first two (IIRC) of which feature some DBT references.
Y'all enjoy!

I clicked on this thread for the very first time today. Very interesting seeing time-stamped takes going back to late February and how information and perspectives have evolved.
Hope everyone is safe. I can't wait to be back in the middle of a sweaty, screaming throng swilling overpriced Budweiser.

Apologies if this is a repost - I searched and didn't find anything.
Anyone know updates on the Wes Freed art book? I know there were delays but haven't heard any new news. Thanks in advance for anyone with intel!

Only time I've seen DBT as an opener was WSP's 2005 Fall Tour, October 15 in Macon. Panic brought out "the indescribably smiley Patterson Hood" and he and JB traded verses on Come Together . https://www.panicstream.com/vault/widespread-panic-10152005-macon-ga/ I miss those old Macon Centreplex shows...

My wife just got back from a wedding in Kalamazoo. She said Bell's was literally the town's only redeeming quality. Then I guess your wife didn't really get to see much of town, it's establishments, and it's people. And that Kalamazoo Promise program is a terrible thing. All it does is fund a minim...

Don't see anything on the venue's website about age restrictions. I'd be surprised if it's not all ages.
