Re: Wilco.
Wilco started as the alt country thing but then became more experimental rock..........Son Volt stayed very Uncle Tupelo like. I can see why one would like those two and not Wilco. I love all three. Wilco's title of America's Radiohead is pretty fair when one listens to Summerteeth,Yankee Hotel Foxt...

Re: Album Stream: Counting Crows - Underwater Sunshine
I appreciate the fact the Crows did this album and the songs they chose to do. It is a collection of songs by artists that inspired Duritz and the other Crows. For so many who listen to music on a top 40 level their whole life, and currently with the state of top 40, would never know of these artist...

Re: Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame Nominations for 2012
Beastie Boys are long overdue to be in.........I am also happy to see Eric B and Rakim get in. Their album Paid in Full should get them in by itself........that important to hip hop. RHCPs is a band I loved when I was a lot younger and more reckless. I understand their importance in music for their ...

Re: Delta Spirit new album
I like Empty House and California. I just missed the coutry rock vibe they have previously displayed . I will say a lot of this album is similar to 80's alternative music where keyboards and synthesizers etc. were popular with bands like New Order, OMD, Erasure etc. It is not that that era is bad f...

They are completely different........but yes New Multitudes imo is much better overall. I however do not think they are the best supergroup recently..........that honor goes to Middle Brother. Love that album!

True, live is a final judgement..........but right now this sounds like an album full of songs the Killers didn't want to release on their last one.

As much as I love Farrar and I do............Tweedy by a landslide. Farrar was good early on with Tupelo and early Son Volt whereas Tweedy has improved a great deal with age and time. That may have to do with the overall talent of musicians around him more recently too. But great idea for a cage ma...

Any Cooley is great Cooley............I personally love Lisa's Birthday and Weakest Man. His strength really is in his ability to write great old time country songs.
