Re: any extra tix for homecoming shows?

I too have some friends (DBT diehards at that) who did not heed my warning that this would sell out around Christmastime. If anyone would like to help me bust their Athens cherries please do contact me. Looking for Friday and/or Saturday

Re: Asheville, 8/17 & 8/18

I have forever missed out on some favorites from ABaAC Feb 14th and Tornadoes in particular. Please pull these out, Mr. Hood? And Cooley, Space City is a real long shot but I'll buy you a drink if you play it. I'm 99% confident they will never place the title track cause Patterson thinks its cheesy,...

Re: ATHENS 2012

Just got Friday/Saturday tix and booked at Dazed Inn. First homecoming shows for me, but this will be my 12th and 13th shows overall. Too bad I don't have 1 more under my belt or the dates would match.

Re: big spring jam huntsville,AL 9/23/11

Definitely the weakest of the 11 shows I've gone to. By the end I think there couldn't have been more than 80 people there. Lots of people just there to drink, not even paying attention to the stage. The band was ok but by the end it seemed like they wanted to GTFO

Re: Go Go Boots at the Six Month Mark

When Patterson described the forthcoming album as their R&B murder ballad album, I had one very bad sound in my head of how it could turn out, and one idealized version which I was sure they could never pull off. And the album that came out was the idealized version. It's smooth, warm, comfortin...

Re: Songs you miss in the set (or have never seen)

There are a bunch of songs from A Blessing and a Curse i wanted to see - Feb 14, Tornadoes, Blessing and a Curse, and Space City - and having gone to 10 shows I would think I would have got one of the previous two, but no dice. I just got a World of Hurt at one of the Asheville shows, or else that l...

How difficult is it to park in New Orleans and specifically around Tipitinas? I'm thinking of making the drive down from Atlanta.

Re: Austin City Limits

Oh and on the BTCD debate I think the record can be a bit tough to swallow on first approach due to its colossal weight, but I also think it's one of the deepest and most rewarding listens in the discography. I just got it on vinyl and I can't wait to hear it once I get a new stereo and fix my turnt...

Re: Austin City Limits

1) While I've only seen videos of this online, it seems to me that the mix is extremely "clean" and leveled off, lacking a lot of live power/energy. This is common in a lot of straight soundboard recordings. 2) The lighting doesn't have the feel of the rock show as the 40 Watt DVD's dark a...

Re: The Orange Peel -- Asheville, NC 6/24 & 6/25

Hey guys - first post... lurked here for setlists and things a few times, but just wanted to say these were shows #9 and #10 for me and they were the best ones yet, as expected. I've seen 'em in Tuscaloosa, Oxford, Huntsville (the Isbell sit-in), 4 times at the Orange Peel, the 1 Harvest Records aco...
