I heard "Surrender Under Protest" on the radio yesterday! (90.7 WFUV New York City). I could not believe it. I don't think I have ever heard a DBT song on terrestrial radio before.

What can anyone say about the venue? I read capacity is very small at 550. Looking forward to night 1.

With the 7 pm start and a 10 pm curfew, how much DBT do you all think we will get? 45 mins + or -? Perhaps 1 hr of DBT, 30 min break, 90 mins of the Shakes?

There will be differences of opinion on how to enjoy a rock concert (seated vs. standing). The best compromise that I can think of is booking the band into theaters like the Capitol (Port Chester, NY) or Wellmont (Montclair, NJ) that feature an open floor and seated balcony. That way everybody wins.

I share the concern about seated shows. I passed on Tarrytown a few years ago for that very reason. Fortunately, things went OK at the Beacon in the fall. Typically at those shows the people in the loge and the balcony sit in their seats while the folks in the orchestra stand, dance, and rock out. I hope I can stan...

I love the Beacon (go every year for the Allmans). I just hope people stand/dance rather than sit in the theater. Typically at ABB shows, the floor stands and the balconys/loge sit. Let's do better and all stand for the rock show!

Great time back in my old hometown. $5 for a DBT show! A nice first show for a group of my friends (besides all getting soaked). Another friend was pouring at one of the beer stands so that went over well.

and speaking of the topic of NYC... DBT seems to have off dates 3/17/14 and 3/19/14 among their NYC/CT tour dates. What are the odds they get a slot on one of the NYC based late night TV shows to promote the new album?

I'm looking forward to a second year in a row of seeing DBT in the NYC area followed by ABB at the Beacon.

Thanks for the responses Gaetzi and John A.A. As Duke suggests, I have used Google to track down many of the songs live versions. I was hoping for some help with hearing the studio versions of what has been previewed. Gaetzi's last post might offer the best option.

Is there a compilation of the streaming sites for previewed songs? (KEXP, Rolling Stone etc.) I'm looking for more the Primer Coat and Pauline Hawkins. Thanks.

I bought tix to the fest when they announced Patterson would be playing. However, when checking out the tour dates on the DBT website today, it did not list the show as a PH show. Anyone know if the whole band will be playing?

I'm taking a friend to this one for his first DBT show. He went to a Cooley show at the Slipper Room, now on to the full band.

I nearly cried when I saw they were playing the Wellmont on the same night that I already have tickets for the Allmans at the Beacon. Fortunately I now have a reason for my first visit to the legendary Capitol Theatre. Tickets ordered today!

I was part of the stage right "respectful" crowd. Sorry to hear some folks had to put up with some annoyances. Still one heck of a show!

Great show. Not sure what other poster is talking about. Crowd was awesome last night. You could hear a pin drop (or hit the shell so to speak). Of course people cheered or talked briefly in between songs, but it was dead quiet during most of performance. Wow!

"One of these Days" appears to be quite the highlight from the download. Hope he plays it again tonight.
