I believe the only way to purchase it (at least at first) will be directly from the author. Check your PM inbox for more info.

Can I get the info too?

Re: Books Thread

So it turns out that if you're going to listen to somebody tell war stories for over an hour, it helps if that somebody was a CIA case officer for over 30 years, mostly posted in "denied areas" (read: the most dangerous places). Good stuff from Jason Matthews, the author of the most excellent spy t...

If I was coming from that area I'd be happy to give you a ride. I'm coming from Chattanooga so not really close to your route. Sorry and I hope you can find someone coming down. If you do I'll furnish you an adult beverage of your choosing.

Last two years have both been on Valentines weekend. So best guess would be Feb 11-13. Obviously like others stated above thought these dates are no where close to certain.

Awesome. Thank you for the rec. I think I'm pretty settled on the Debut Carbon. Still kicking around other components.

If you make to Birmingham and are looking for breweries I'd stop by Good People and Avondale. I love Good People beers. If you make it over to Tuscaloosa I am partial to Druid City Brewing. There is a chinese restaurant in the strip mall behind Druid City called Mr. Chen's. I'd recommend picking up ...

I saw Will with Anders Parker on their living room tour in Birmingham and it has to be one of my favorite musical experiences. Got to hear two hours worth of great songs without all the bullshit. Then after they were done ended up having a couple of beers and talking to Will for half hour or so. Mig...

Any thoughts on where to start with Elmore Leonard? I assume you're talking about his crime/thriller genre books. In any case I haven't read any of the Westerns. Get Shorty and Rum Punch (the basis for Jackie Brown ) are both worth reading to compare and contrast w/ the movies. Whether that's a goo...

You're right. Overall plot is easy to follow, to an extent. You never can tell who is truthful and who isn't. What is real and what isn't. The main narrator Johnny admits he isn't the most reliable nor truthful of characters. So, you can never be certain of what he's telling you. All the footnotes, ...
