Re: Isbell @ the Beacon
Everyone seems to sit at his theatre shows. I loved seeing him play the small rock clubs, but now that he's playing seated venues I sit like everyone else. I totally understand security asking you to sit for the show. Someone behind you paid to see the show too. They can't move somewhere else to get...

Re: Jason NYE in Louisville
Good show. Shovels & Rope played for 75 minutes, which surprised me. I had my 7 year old with me and I had to take him out because someone was smoking dope. In the Palace. It was strong enough that my son started wrinkling up his nose so took him to the lobby. I expect that in clubs, but the Pal...

Re: Southern Bitch
Can anyone tell me who originally performed the My Kind of Country song that Adam sings in the recording mentioned above? I am assuming it isn't an original since I have both (that was all their was, right?) of the Southern Bitch albums and it isn't on them.

Re: Jason NYE in Louisville
I've got tickets for my wife and I as well as my 16 year old son and 7 year old son. Can't find a babysitter on NYE and they both love JI anyway, so it's a win-win.
I'm considering ear plugs or muffs for my 7 year old since this will be his first concert. Any suggestions?

I like this, a lot more songs than I realized he covered. Is this up on spotify yet? I can't seem to locate it. Thanks, l...

Covered by Jason Isbell Spotify Playlist
I have a continually growing Spotify playlist of the original versions of covers I've heard Jason perform or record. I'm sure there are more so I made the list collaborative if anyone would care to contribute. I didn't include songs such as "Like a Rolling Stone" since that was really a DB...

DBT Vinyl on Sale
Music Direct has some of the older DBT titles marked way down right now.

Great prices for 180 gram pressings. I picked up Pizza Deliverance, Gangstabilly, ABAAC, and TDS for $53 I think.

I'm thinking about trying to make it to that show, but I haven't purchased tickets yet. There's a Chris Knight show the next night at Uncle Slayton's that I really want to go to also. I need to just buck up and go to the Truckers show and roll in to work Friday morning on no sleep and with my ears s...

sg207, I like Hayes, but I agree. Isbell's catalog is more solid. Hayes has some really awesome songs, but he has some that I really don't need to hear live. His newest album is just okay in my book and he'll probably be playing a lot of stuff off of that. Trouble in Mind, his last album, was excell...

Re: The official new album thread (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)
Just now finished reading through the thread. I was not aware that there was such lukewarm feelings about Jason's last album. I thought it was his masterpiece and didn't see how he could top it. Guess I never paid much attention to what everyone was saying about it when it came out.
