Re: college football 2014/2015/2016/2017/2018

Neal Brown leaves Troy to take the WVU gig. I hope he does well cause he’s a KY native and I saw him at a DBT concert in Lexington, KY shortly after he joined Mark Stoops’ staff at UK back in 2013. Neal Brown is a heck of a nice guy and a great coach. I met him before at a hotel pool while he was o...

Spooner Oldham and Dan Penn honored at Troy Univ.

Renowned songwriters Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham, two linchpins of the Muscle Shoals music scene that helped define the soul, pop, and rock music of the 1960s and 1970s, will receive the Hall-Waters Prize from Troy University on April 12. The duo will discuss the craft of songwriting, the history of...

What do you think about their latest (disco) album? They kind of lost me there. Hope they come back to the soul sound. His glitter trash bag get up is a little odd, too. Nevertheless, one of the most energetic live performers I have ever seen. PS - did you see the SEC network show TrueSouth about Bi...

Shonna playing with John Paul White band in 19 tour

I saw on Shonnas IG that she is playing with John Paul White (formerly of the Civil Wars, now living in Florence and performing solo) in his touring band in 2019. Should be pretty cool. I saw him play with the Hoods and a bunch of other MS artists in Tallahassee and he seems like a really cool guy. ...

I bet DBT and Williams play roughly equal length sets with Williams playing last. The show in my area (P'cola) does not feature Lucinda, so no issue there. What saith the group about Erika?
