That sucks. But you could see something going on in that HBO doc. Never a good thing when kids are involved.

Re: Jason on Twitter is a thing of beauty

So I saw on Jason and Amanda's Instagram this weekend Jason got his teeth fixed. The top are all new, shiny white veneers. Couldn't find any pics but it looks good. He definitely needed it. Looks like that Ryman gig pays off.

Re: HeAthen’s West

Although I was only able to make it Saturday night it exceeded my expectations big time. After all my friends flaked on my I was coming in a little bummed. Once inside I recognized some familiar faces and was immediately introduced to uncle rickey, cooley girl, AkheAthen and many others including Jo...

Re: HeAthen’s West

Well this weekend continues to test me. All my friends have backed out last minute. We were supposed to be camping in a trailer at the Camp Pioneertown which is steps away from Pappy's. But I will still be there Saturday. I wouldn't miss a Saturday Homecoming show. Bringing my 17 year old son with m...

Re: Never Had Such A Good Time/The Grateful Dead Thread

51 years ago today the band played what I fervently believe is their finest show ever. Adjectives don’t suffice. This show is what 5/8/77 hopes to be when it grows up. But hey, enough of my yakkin'. Whaddaya say? Let's boogie! 6JukZBGgv8I I agree, this show is probably my favorite. That Dark Star i...

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?

https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a0447448530_16.jpg This. I’m struggling to hear a difference in the mix, but it’s a fine excuse to listen to one of the best albums of the 00’s. This new mix sounds great. The main thing I hear is the vocals are way up in the mix. You can hear the lyrics much more clearly ...

Re: The Dirty South-Reissue Preorder

I have listened to PPOTM but something just feels off. Maybe it's just me and I will get used to it. Very different for sure. Only one listen in, but I strongly prefer the original version. I agree about the vocals but I think the remastered music on the new version sounds a lot better Does anyone ...

Re: The Dirty South-Reissue Preorder

Haven't heard the new PPOTM yet but I think the re-recorded versions of Uncle Frank (on The Fine Print) and Gravity's Gone (on the greatest hits record) are both much better than the originals. So I'd say it bodes well for the new ones here. Yeah I don't love the newer Uncle Frank. And I didn't eve...

Re: The Dirty South-Reissue Preorder

I will no doubt be pre ordering this but I do have mixed feelings. I love the way it all looks and always look forward to new releases. However I have never been into bands redoing previous albums. After so many years of listening to the original album it is hard for me to get into new versions. I h...

I don't listen to a lot of new music these days but these are the ones heavy in my rotation this year. Take it Like a Man - Amanda Shires (my #1) Acoustic Sessions EP - Morgan Wade (my most listened to according to Spotify) Welcome to Club XIII - DBT Glowing Lantern - Mother Hips (released in Dec 20...

Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?

Saw Dead and Company's summer opener at Dodger Stadium on Saturday. It was a fun time all around. Band is solid and John Mayer seems to have toned down his guitar solo faces. A really good set list too. Set 1: Good Times Playing in the Band Feel Like a Stranger China Doll Brown Eyed Women Jack Straw...

Re: Welcome to Club XIII

And that ear-splitting guitar solo that follows "as we drove on past the near-flaming demise" is downright wicked and reminds me a lot of the solo from "After the Scene Dies." I also love how the guitar fills up to that point sound a bit more like the slightly-restrained, dreamy meanderings of Neil...

Excited for a new album but I am not feeling the single Welcome to Club XIII. Kinda boring and the same sing song melody. Hopeful for the rest.
