Re: Jason Isbell - Something More Than Free 7/17

I get that the three month delay is probably necessary just to get the vinyl pressed (hopefully) in time for release date and to do all the pre-release press, but yeah, I'm dying to hear this thing. Just secured tickets for the four-night stand at the Ryman and am already counting the days.

Re: Cooley, Hood and Isbell together for Terry Pace Benefit

This is killing me, but I'm not going to be able to make it to the show. So, I've got a pair of tickets available. I know a lot of folks here got shut out, so I wanted to give first shot to someone here at Three Dimes Down. Face value + fees comes out to $65 for the pair (or $32.50 each, obviously),...

Keep trying, y'all. I got the sold out message several times, but kept trying and eventually got a pair.

Sadler seemed to bring every song just what it needed. It was my first time hearing him, and was very impressed.

Re: Jason @ Grimey's, in-store

I was there. Nice set. Was expecting it to be solo acoustic, or maybe Jason and Amanda, so the full 400 Unit performance was a great surprise.

Re: New Jason Album "Southeastern" on June 11

Release day in-store performance at Grimey's was fantastic. Full band 400 Unit performance with Sadler and Amanda. They played Traveling Alone, Stockholm, Cover Me Up, Different Days, Live Oak and Super 8. Jason was very gracious, posing for photos and signing albums, and seemed very happy. Huge ent...

This lesson is in standard tuning. I'm tuned down a step, so I have a capo on the 2nd fret. Sorry I didn't explain at the start of the video.

This is fantastic. Thanks for another great lesson! Much appreciated.

Re: YouTube Lessons

These lessons are so great -- I've been playing through them all and really learning a lot and having a blast. Buford, if you get the time and inclination to do some more, I'll repeat my request from the other thread for Space City. Would also love to learn Patterson's song Screwtopia. Just about an...

Franklin, TN 01/27/12

Great set at a really nice venue. Sound was phenomenal. Crowd listened attentively while he was playing and was rowdy between songs. Couldn't have been any better. Jason told a lot of stories about the songs and played quite a few that he doesn't break out all that often -- "When The Well Runs ...

Well, as one who bought tix for the Wilkes Barre show shortly before it was canceled -- at the time I got mine, per Ticketmaster, the floor was sold to Row U, mezzanine was sold, and balcony was sold a few rows deep. I really don't buy that sales were all that soft. I realize I'm probably just feeli...

A day shy of three weeks after the release date, my pre-order (faithfully placed on the first day they went up at the beginning of December) finally arrived today.
